Master password


To RESET the Netgear, power up the Netgear then press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router until all the LEDs flash.
Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on your computer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -

The default login = admin
The default PW = password
You can now change the default admin password and configure the wireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access.

As instructed i master reset my wireless router, due to the fact that i forgot my password. My internet connection wont work at all, now that i have "master reset" my linksys Wrt100 router.


When you do a Master Reset on a wireless router it sets the hardware back to factory settings.

To get this working again you will need to run the setup wizard CD to reconfigure the device.

I cannot connect to the internet on any wireless computer


I would try a master rest of the router. There is a reset button on the back. Hold in for about 5 seconds. You will need to reconfigure your router this should work. If this doesn't work make sure you have the correct ssid and password for wireless network.Here is a link for setting up the wireless router.

did you hit your phone?
try making 'Master Reset' (settings->master reset).if this doesn't work try flashing phone's firmware

I would hold down the reset button, usually located on the back, for 10 or more seconds. This will perform a master reset.

Access router. What does it say? did you set up the wireless network yourself? Is the cable modem working properly? Rebooted it? Is there a problem with the internet provider?

Netgear Wirless Router


You need to make sure your internet is still working. Its possible the storm caused some damage to the dsl line

Can you plug a normal broadband modem in and connect to the internet?

If you can, then try unplugging your router and plugging it back in, give it a few mins to boot up and try again (if you havn't tried this already)

If still no luck you'll have to do a master reset and set your router back up and try that, however at this point I'd guess the storm killed your router.

If you havn't got a broadband modem that plugs strait in, then ring your ISP and ask them if they've had any problems thier end.

BROADBAND INTERNET CONNECTION PROBLEM (WIRELESS)


Every phone socket must have a working microfilter pluged as shown on the image below.

I think you need to change your microfilters as they might have blown.
