Grapefruit tree diseases

We live in Tucson AZ. Our grapefruit tree blossomed beautifully and then leaves turned yellow and started falling off. No signs of insects; just some spotting on some leaves. What can we do?

SOURCE: ficus trees loosing leaves turnig yellow and

How long have you had the tree?
Indoors or out?
If indoors, do you have any new plants in the house?
Have you moved the plant recently?

Your problem could be any one of:

  1. An infestation of tiny insects. Spray a solution of soap and water all over the plant, top and underside of leaves, until it is dripping. This will kill the insects.
  2. Overwatering. Hard to fix. Try transferring to a bigger pot and mixing in new dry soil. Or poke holes in the soil around the roots with the handle of a wooden spoon to let the air in.
  3. Underwatering. Put the plant in the bath, turn on the shower, set to tepid (i.e. not freezing cold and definitely not hot) and give it a good soaking. But take the pot out of the tray or dish and let it drain. It should not be in standing water. Don't water "little and often" - this is bad... give it a good soaking and then let it dry out.
  4. Chemical build up from tap water. If you see a salty-looking depsoit aorund the pot, or brown depsoits. do the same procedure as above.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: i live in toronto/canada .

well if its leaking coolant, thats

  1. the radiator
  2. hose leading and from the radiator to engine
  3. water pump.
more then likely its the radiator, eighter the head or core, in any case you need to replace it.

other than the above there is nothing to leak coolant.

There are sellers of mobility scooters in the area but I am unable to narrow do wn a local repair shop. One ot the dealers might might advise. American Mobility
2280 N Oracle Rd Tucson, AZ 85705
(520) 628-7480 or Able One Mobility Services
6402 N Via Piccolina Tucson, AZ 85741

A wild card possibility would be

Odd Ball Cycle

Perhaps the following site might be of use. The manual for the scooter might list repair or service facilities, UltraLite Fold Go

Leaves on my young apple tree have rusty brown blotches some fall of when touched

It sounds like it has some kind of disease. What state do you live in. See a near by nursery and bring a leaf with you and show it to them. We have Calloways here in Texas, but there are nurseries where you live.

Why is my plum tree leaves are turning silver, how do I treat this?

I can only direct you the results of my search for 'PLUM TREE LEAVES SILVER' on the internet (AltaVista/Yahoo). Some pointed to for example
1. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/6205476/How-to-identify-silver-leaf-disease.html
2. http://www.which.co.uk/documents/pdf/silver-leaf-disease-153706.pdf
3. http://www.growsonyou.com/question/show/1213-plum-tree-silver-leaf-disease
These only the first three results of my search, I hope they are of some use. This seems to be a well known condition. Other similar searches using different search engines will throw up different results in a different order. I suggest you take a look at someof them, because personally I don't know the answer to your question

I live in the northeast, can a mini pomegranate tree survive the winters?

The tree should have no problem surviving the winter as long as it is in a pot that you can bring in side. During the cold months, the tree should be brought in and put next to a window, preferably the sunniest one in your home. As soon as it starts to warm up, bring it outside. Mini pomagranates tend to blossom and produce fruit in late June/July/August.
