Dell CP04 remote

If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.

How to test an infared remote control device

How can I tell if my remote is working? You could invest in an infared detector pen or device that will detect the infared signal or you could use a common cellphone with camera mode. Place the phone in camera mode and hold the remote up to the camera lens. By depressing the buttons on the remote now you can actually see the emitted infared light slowed down to a visable light, thereby determining that any or all buttons of the remote are functioning properly.

My digital cable remote GDRC-86XT not working was working few weeks ago stop suddenly

Check the batteries and their connections in the remote.

Verify no other infared source that might be interfering such as infared wireless headphones.

First of all you should check & ensure the infrared is emiting from the remote control. Though we cant see this infared beam with bare eyes, i found a trick to do so in http://www.unique-stuff.co.cc/fixing_remote_control_check_infrared.html Most of the problems is weakened infared beam. I can not upgrade my bluetooth driver

Like many laptops, mine also, they have bluetooth and wireless software, but not the hardware. You may have a wireless adapter built in, if so there will be a small switch for it on the front or side. Just slide it to on and wireless is up and running. As for bluetooth, buy a dongle, about £5($8) or so, from your nearest stockist.

Sony Trinitron 30" no remote seems to work

If you want to test the voltage you can do so at connector CN002 on the main board. You should have 5 volts DC at pin 4 and at pin 5 marked SIRCS (sony infared remote control system)should be 5 volts as well but, will drop to about 2.5 volts when any button is pressed on the remote. If it doesn't change then you should change the HR board wich houses the IR rec. and associated components.
