Question about Samsung SCH-u410 Cellular Phone
Is there a way to reset this? Its use is resticted to emergency calls only! I was trying to give this phone to my mom

You can e-mail them to yourself. Just enter your email as the address.
Otherwise you will need to buy a USB cable for the phone that will connect to your computer to get the files off the phone.

Verizon uses a network type called CDMA which does not use nor allow the use of SIM cards. If you were looking to transfer all of your information to another device, you're going to have to do it manually by punching the names and numbers in to the new device.
Some stores/kiosks do have a cable they can use to transfer your information for you, but they'll likely charge in excess of $40 USD for this service.
