My Akai AP-206 does not keep timing

After about a few minutes of playing a record the the player slows down. Some times it will speed back up, and play correctly. Other times it will play slow until I try to adjust it. Can you suggest a fix?

Sounds like the belt is failing. You can get one from here

SOURCE: Akai Ap-003 belt drive turntable pitch problem

Hi!
Make shure that is a 50Hz turntable. If you connect a 60 Hz turntable in a 50 Hz system, the result is aprox 28 RPM in the 33 RPM position/

SOURCE: how can i fix my jta-460 from playing records slow

Check the RPM switch on the turntable is on the correct speed for the record you want to play. Otherwise it could be a belt problem internally.

Have an akai GX-286d goes great in fast fwd until the last 2 inches or so tha slows down is this normal?

Most Reel-to-reel tape decks will slow down as they approach the end of a tape, since the momentum that had built up will have a hard time stopping at the end without stretching the tape (which will distort the sound upon playback)

Speedo will cut out when driving

Sounds like your "speed sensor" is failing. When it fails it will cause irregular shift patterns and engine idle speeds.

Playing DIVX on an LG LH-RH3690 DVD recorder

You can not view from the USB, since the USB port on the DVD player is ver 1.1. The transfer speed is to slow to watch a movie. Alternatively you can copy your movie from your flashdrive to the harddrive and watch from there. You will see what I mean with slow speed when you copy the movie. It takes ages.
