I have a new zodiac aqua drive 1200 and it doesn't

i have found that the zodiac pumps are very particular with regards to the o ring on the lid. use a good quality o ring grease (not vasoline) and make sure that the seating areas are clean from debris. when you prime the pump, close the lid and turn it on, the water level will drop as it pushes into the system. these pumps are self priming but if the equipment is significantly higher than the pool, it is advised to use a shut off valve in front of the pump. that way you can prime the pump to the top and the extra water will help get the system flowing

Why has the circulation flow decreased

Your pump pushes "Unfiltered" water thru the Filter. Your filter then "Cleans / Filters" all of the microscopic particles of dirt out of the water. This will eventually clog your filter as the pressure will then obviously climb. Basically, doing the job it was intended to do! As this occurs the water flow will be reduced and at times, dramatically! The fix: clean the cartridges, backwash your sand or D.E. Filter.

Another possibility is the flow is restricted due to another type of clog: Plugged pump impeller, clogged & dirty skimmer or pump baskets, etc.

Or low water level. Sucking air with water.

Return port of the intex pump is sucking in water at the top part of the nozzle

If the debris that is getting pulled in is floating, lower the inlet to about 3 to 6 inches under the surface of the water.

Pool pump surges water no steady flow

Check your water level, skimmers and weir gates, and the o-ring on the pump lid where the basket is. Air is getting in somewhere between the pool and the pump basket.

Pool cleaner starts and then stops working

Check for water flow / water flow restrictions / and water flow blockages.

Many things create water flow reductions: Dirty filters, plugged impellers, packed with debris baskets - both skimmers and at pump, closed to partially closed valves, air suction leaks: worn shaft seal, worn orings at pump lid or pump volute body, low water level, stuck skimmer weir blade/gate in the up position & skimmer empties and air is sucked into the system which may cause the pump to lose prime. This a problem that goes un-noticed and is hard to detect even by some service technicians!

I have the 1/3 hp, 115v model. My pump is in my basement and below my utility sink, it pumps overhead then out to the road. It will pump water out, but then will try to keep pumping. Not continuously...

Do you have a check valve on the discharge line going to the street? This would prevent the backup of water back to the pump making it want to come back on. Things you can try, can you make the holding tank under the sink larger so more water need to be present before it comes on? Also have you tried to put a vacuum break on the system? You can make one easy by razing the outdoor discharge pipe two to three feet high just as it comes out of the house, place a upside down "U" at the top that flows into an open larger pipe that take it to the street. This way if you are getting a back flow you will only get the amount of water between the pump and the upside down "U", however if it was me I would be sure there is a check valve close to the pump so a back flow cannot happen, you can get them at your local hardware or pluming store.
Lastly, the float is adjustable in two locations, one is the location of the float when the maximum water level is reached (turns on the pump) and at the level of water where it turns off the pump, giving a buffer area so if there is flow back it takes more to turn the pump on and less to turn it off, try playing with these two levels on the float.

Any air getting into the suction line of the system can cause a low flow. If too much trans is in the skimmer basket or pump basket you cna get a low flow. If junk is in the pump impeller or the filter the flow can be low. Check each of these possible problem and you will likely resolve it. I hope this helps.

Low level water led turns does not extinguish anymore

You have a restriction in your flow meter or inlet opening. Usually it's the flow meter. The flow meter is connected to the intake opening on the back of the machine by a silicone hose. The other hose connected to the flow meter goes to the suction side of the pump. The intake side of the flow meter has a small opening and the other side connected to the pump has a large opening. When the pump turns on and everything is clear, the small side of the flow meter creates a jet of water that spins the turbine. This lets the computer know that water is present and turns the heater on. If the turbine doesn't spin the computer thinks the pump is bad and turns the light on for water and keeps the heater from turning on and burning up. You need to clear the small opening in the flow meter.

I just installed a Waterway Above Ground Hi Flo 1.5HP pump on my above ground pool. Everything seems to be fine, but after turning it on, and it running for a minute or two, the pump starts to get louder...

sOUNDS LIKE ONE OF TWO THINGS.

1) The pump is cavitating (sucking in air) could be not enough water flow to it, or a leak.
2) The bearings could be bad or misaligned

Pool pump will not fill back up

It sounds like you are sucking air into the pump. Make sure strainer baskets and pump baskets are clear, and the valves are in the right position. Also check the water level in the pool, and make sure that the pump is not sucking the skimmer dry. Next try lubricating the gasket on the pump lid, or if it is in bad shape (flattened/cracking) replace it. If this does not solve the problem put silicone around the inlet to the pump (silicone is a temporary fix that could last days or months--for best results replumb with teflon tape and sealant). If all that fails you could have debris stuck in the impeller.
