Accidently unplugged unit without turning power off. when plugged back in power will not come on. i reset the plug and got the green light and when hit test it popped as per the instrunctions on the cord.

Because you used a common plug that already has 5 or more amps of current on it it would be bound to trip easily. Many modern homes that are put together fast have the wires pushed in the back of them and hence can't take a huge load like that. One of the plugs in the system likely failed to pass the power to the next one in the chain. That is why an informed consumer calls an electrician when they get a new appliance like an air conditioner and have a designated plug installed with a wire size and a breaker that can handle it. Sometimes they put in a high quality commercial plug.

Unit will not turn on without the remote.

To operate the unit without having the remote .. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it for 15 minutes. After the time has elapsed, plug the unit in and turn the ON/OFF Switch to ON. You should now be able to operate the controls on the unit itself. As it should have reverted back to the original factory setup settings.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

What does E1 mean?

This is a reminder to clean the air filter. It happens every 720 hours of operation. Here are the steps to get it back up and running:
1. Power down the air conditioner using the "power" button on the front panel.
2. Unplug the air conditioner from the wall socket.
3. Hold the front panel "power" button down and plug the air conditioner in. Continue to hold the power button down as the machine goes through a brief test sequence (fan & compressor each come on briefly, etc). There is a "beep" sound at the end of the test sequence, and the machine will be off. At this point, you can release the power button.
4. Unplug the air conditioner.
5. Plug the air conditioner back in.
6. Congratulations! You should now be able to operate the air conditioner normally for another 720 hours, but only if you followed the instructions above EXACTLY.

Aircondition not working

E1 indicates  Filter needs replacing/Cleaning , this code flashes after 720 hours of operation time.

Disconnect the power plug

Clean or replace filter

HOLD DOWN (dont let go) Of  the ON/OFF button and plug the unit back up and continue to hold the ON/OFF button until you hear a beep

After the beep unplug your A/C

Then plug it back up to and turn it on for normal operation

IF THIS FAILS TO REMOVE THE CODE

UNPLUG A/C  THEN HOLD DOWN THE MODE BUTTON AND PLUG IT UP STILL HOLDING THE MODE BUTTON UNTIL YOU HEAR A BEEP.

UNPLUG UNIT  AND THEN PLUG IT BACK UP AND ONE OF THESE 2 STEPS WILL FIX YOUR PROBLEM   UNLESS THERE IS A MAJOR PROBLEM IN THE CONTROL BOARDS
