Question about Acer Aspire 1690 Notebook
Hi there. I have an Acer aspire 1690 whit intel cpu and ATI VGA card.
I use the laptop as an client pc for outlook, msn, and skype. The laptop runs 24/7 and that for at least 2 years now. Yesterday i have installed windows vista on the laptop. I have no driver issues. Only the laptop is now very warm and he is not stopping making noise for cooling.
Before i installed windows vista it runs the beta 7100 of windows 7. Whit no problems (only skype dos`nt work) , and the laptop was staying cool. Therefore it was running windows XP. even whit no problemes.
I am from the netherlands. Sow sorry for the strange english.
Do you know an seloution for this problem? Else then put back windows Xp or windows 7 on the machine?
Windows Vista is a very demanding Operating system when it comes to system resources and it doesnt come as a shock to hear that you computer runs warmly, If you werent experiencing any problems when you had windows XP installed, I would suggest downgrading to Window XP, otherwise wait for October 22 and purchase a genuine copy of Windows 7 and use that.
