Unfortunately, that sometimes happens with hard drives!

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I plug in my 32Gb Drive and it connects and shows the drive for a few seconds then drops off like it is not connected and then loops like that until being removed. when it does show up it is unaccessible...

It sounds like there maybe an internal break at the plug end of the drive. Wiggle it about when plugged in and see if it suddenly appears, to confirm this. If still the same then sounds as though is duff. You probably have a 3 year warranty on it so all is not lost.

Unaccessible drive it gives me 2 mesages: m1 :

The first error signals the fact that the partition data is corrupted. The second one signal an error in communication . Both put together signal the fact that your unit has died. You might have a slim chance that the actual disk inside it might have some life left in it: take it out, connect it directly to a desktop and try to access and extract all the files from it.

Iomega Prestige 1 TB format PC?

can you try this.
Right click "my computer " the go to "Manage" and select "Disk Management"
Once there right click on the drive and delete the partition.
Then recreate th partition and let Windows format it for you.
The reason for this is that sometimes during the mass production of the drives the partition does not get created correctly and so when you try to format the drive it falls over
Hope this helps

There is a program called On track recovery.

Plugged in my Lacie - FW 750 GB and the MAC wont see it? ive been using it for months - now its unaccessable

Connect the drive and open Disk Utility. If it lists the drive then it may just need to have the repair utility run on it. It is possible the partition was wiped by accident as well and needs to be repartitioned and reformatted.
You can also try Disk Warrior. If DW doesn't see it then most likely it is toast.
