Your microphone must be on Mute. Click on Speaker icon on the bottom right -> click on "Mixer" -> if you see any of the volumes muted increase their volume and see if problem is solved. Try using a headphone + mic that are made for chatting.

Yup. If the headphones are driven by the TV, then turning down the TV turns down the headphones. Check to see if the TV has an audio output setting where you can select either the TV speakers or the headphone jack. What brand and model TV is it?

I have a denon avr 2000 dsp and want a manual which nobody has and I want to hook up my ipod classic. There isn't any AUX front or rear and I don't have a dock.

To hook up your ipod, get a 3.5mm to rca cable and use your ipod's headphone jack. Just don't turn the volume way up on the ipod otherwise the input signal may to at too high a level for the receiver.

THE MUSIC PLAYER IS MUTED. I CANT LOCATE THE MUTE BUTTON

If headphones work, Try plugging your headphones in and out really quick a few times. Sometimes the sensor in there gets screwed up and thinks there are headphones in.

This is a common problem.

There should be no way to mute music without the volume keys. The other option I would check is going into settings. and make sure your "media volume" isnt all the way down. That could be the only problem I could see.

HOOKED ALL MY SPEAKERS UP BUT SUB AND CANT GET ANY SOUND FROM FM OR TV THAT I HAVE HOOKED UP AM I MISSING SOMETHING ALSO THERE IS A LIGHT THAT SAYS SOUND MUTE BY FM

From the remote control ONLY:

Press MUTING to mute the sound through all

speakers and headphones connected.

"MUTING" appears on the display and the

volume turns off (the volume level indicator goes

off).

To restore the sound, press MUTING again so that "OFF" appears

on the display.

• Turning MASTER VOLUME on the front panel or pressing
VOLUME +/- on the remote control also restores the sound.

No matter what, I can't get any sound...

Click on the sound properties in control panel. see if the volume on the properties is up. or is NOT muted. Plug headphones into all the speaker jacks (should be the green plugs) and test each one. If that doesn't work, uninstall the driver and select reinstall.

Sound fades out on both earphones

The chance of both speakers going bad at same time is remote. Your ipod is at fault and has something wrong with its output circuits. Check to make sure that there is no muting circuit inadvertently turned on.

No sound through the headphones

The way the headphone jack works is:

plug your headphones in and then mute the television using the remote.

While the TV is muted you can still use the volume up and down controls to adjust the volume through the headphones. I find that having the volume at 60-75% is more than loud enough on the headphones.

Just be careful when you unplug the headphones and take the TV off of mute, if your volume levels are still turned up you will be in for a jolt :)

How do you mute tv but not headphones?

Look in your TV's menu options. I have an RCA TV which allows me to turn on (or off) the headphone port and set the volume of the headphones. Once you turn the headphone volume up, then you can turn the TV Volume all the way down with your TV remote while the headphone volume remains where you set it. Hope this works for you.

DENON AVR 2802 (NO SOUND)

If "Digital" sign blink on front panel, it means DSP do no start properly. If DSP do not start, main UC mute audio. Change IC, AT49LV002-70TC (IC 817 ) at DSP board (Denon P/N: 262 3010 006).
