Our church uses Tascam CC-222, I believe 1997 model to record the services, it was noted recently that we are not getting services recorded on the CD's , going backward it appears this started about the end of April (now mid June) the noise coming off the recorded CD is static and sometimes you can faintly here the organ or piano. Could I have a bad bunch of CD's, could I clean the CD burner or is it broken and need of repair/replacement?
You need to verify that the signal going IN to the recorder is ok. There are a number of ways you can do this, the simplest and cheapest is to get another recording device you know works, that takes the same connectors, and test using that. Something like a cassette deck, or whatever a church member may have at home. If that works, you've determined that its the Tascam, if not, then you need to trace back to see where the signal failure is occurring.

I have a Bose Wave Machine that I would like to use (as speakers) for a PA system. I have a "regular" mic. What kind of unit (preamp or amp) that I can buy for my mic that that has RCA output (R and L audio jacks) that I can buy so I can connect it to the Bose? Thanks in advance. -Hieu
