Dyson 25 canister release spring

It should be placed behind the catch (button). If the button retainers are not broken off, just place it under the catch and snap it back into place.

Where do I find a hose diagram for my carpet cleaner

Check your User Guide. For a ProHeat it will page 4 or on the assembly directions page 6. The hose wraps around the big loops close to the handle and the electric wire wraps around the loops with the catch that turns. Hope that helps.

I cant get my Dyson canister to reattach correctly.

Hi Gayla, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty replacing your DC28's clear bin and cyclone. They should lift away from the machine when you push the red release catch, and should reattach in the same way without any issues.

From what you've described it sounds as if something is out of place. You may want to remove and replace the washable HEPA post-filter as shown in the video below - if the clear post-filter cover isn't fitted correctly this could prevent the bin from sitting correctly on the vacuum. Make sure all the black rubber seals are in position, and that the bin base is closed all the way around. It's also a good idea to check the red release catch for any damage.
If you continue to have difficulties you're welcome to get in touch for some additional assistance. You can reach us by calling 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

Power cord warms up

They do get warm and that is normal. You will see it melt before it catches fire. The amount of electricty that is being used is close to the amount the cord can take.

Hdc11 i cannot close telescopic wandow do i close telescopic wand

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty collapsing your DC11's telescopic wand. It should retract in one smooth action when you hold down the catch - if it seems to be jammed, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. One of our experts will be able to recommend the best course of action. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). We'll look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Fitting internal bin catch on dco7

Yea I can definitely help you. On the tope of the cyclone there are three screws that will allow you to take off the top off the cyclone. You should see a long black rod going down the middle of the cylcone. It is difficult and you may have to detach it from the top i cant remember as usually i just replace the whole thing and only done that 3 times. You take a flash light and you can see where the rod goes in and just push it down and it should pop open. ill check back on monday to see if you replied or need more help.

Bottom of dirt container doesn't stay closed

The catch/latch that is on the bottom of the bin button release has likely broken.
If you take out the canister (as when you are dumping the bin), and flip it upside down and then squeeze the bin release button, you will see that it moves a rod inside the cyclone assembly.  At the end of this rod is a plastic (plastic.. redundant, as the entire Dyson is practically plastic) latch that catches onto the bin's lid and locks it in place.  A broken latch means it doesn't lock the lid in.
What you need is a replacement latch.  Note that the "Bin Release Button + Rod assembly" that are sometimes sold on ebay do *not* contain the latch at the end of the rod.  Also the bottom bin assembly does not contain the required parts.
The cyclone assembly should have the full bin release rod + latch, so if you can't find the latch, then a new cyclone assembly would work also (but will cost more, obviously).
