Question about Dymo LabelWriter 400 Thermal Printer

Can't change paper available in dymo 400 properties

Installed Windows 7 and Dymo 400 Turbo won't print after downloading latest software and drivers. Have been through all fixes I can find without success. One unresolved error (?) that I can't fix is that I can select installed label in Printing Preferences (30321 Large Address), but in Printer Properties General Tab, the "Paper available" window shows "30252 Address" and there is no access anywhere to change that - dropdown is greyed out. Any attempt to print, the printer lurches in to life, prints 2 mm and then stops and displays "printer error". Print Test Page does not work but printer function works OK.

SOURCE: Dymo Labelwriter 450 Turbo won't print on Windows

Uninstall the driver, remove any trace of the install from the system (as much as is possible). Whent his gets messed up it's really hard to get working on that machine again under XP. Aquire the printer through add printer and detect not the software on the CD, install the driver using the inf file on the Cd. Now reinstall the printer software using USB or serial as an option, when prompted select custom install and no driver. If you have it setup on another machine this also works, but acquire the printer through network neighborhood instead of using add/remove programs.

Dymo labelwriter turbo model 90479 driver

You can download the Windows 7 Driver here:

http://www.dymo-label-printers.co.uk/dymo-labelwriter-drivers-windows-7.html

Note: you don't say if it is a 300/400/450 series, but if it's a 300 series and the model is NOT listed in the compatible printers on that page then there is NO SOLUTION - your printer simply will not work with Windows 7 as Microsoft dropped support for the old USB chipset in this OS...
ps. there is a server problem at the moment so if you can't download 8.4 try 8.3 it will still work just fine.

DYMO LabelWriter 400 Turbo Installed but gives error message when sending prints

First of all, on Dymos you need to use original Dymo roll,.

Dymo rolls have a tag at the back, non original ones does not have it.

Before reinstalling driver you also need to run the dymo uninstaller utility that you find at Dymo website.

I will post the links for download.

Dymo label writer 400 turbo will not print

Uninstall the software and disconnect the printer from your PC. Then reinstall version 8 of the Dymo Software (without the printer connected) and connect the printer when prompted by the software.

Make sure you are using version 8 of the dymo label software - it is compatible with Windows 7.

http://global.dymo.com/enGB/Troubleshooting/LabelWriter_320.html

From this site.

    • The error message: "Exception Eprinter in module LABELS.DLL at ...." is displayed.
      or
The error message: "Access violation at address ... in module DYMOLBL.EXE" is displayedA. This problem can occur when DLS 7.x was installed over DLS 6.x, without first uninstalling DLS 6.x.
      Solution:
      Delete the file Dymolbl.ENG.
DLS will still work, however, all default settings will be incorrect.

The settings will need to be set correctly.
On the DLS menubar, click Preferences and set the preferences as desired.
      The default values are:
Default label file folder should be set to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\DYMO Label\Label Files"
Default address book folder should be set to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\DYMO Label\Address Books"
Default clipart folder should be set to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\DYMO Label\Clipart"

      B. An incorrect printer has been selected in the DYMO software.
      Solution:
      1. Start the DYMO Software.
      2. Click on File and point to Change printer.
      3. Click the LabelWriter model connected to the PC (e.g. Dymo Turbo)

      C. Occasionally, double-clicking the print command button in the list manager is not handled properly by the software.
      Solution:

      Single-click the print command button.

      D. An incorrect driver has been installed.
      Solution:
      Run the DYMO Driver Uninstaller
Restart the PC and install the correct driver.

To remove and reinstall the printer driver:
      1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to Settings and click Printers (& Faxes).
      The printers window is displayed.
      2. Double-click the LabelWriter icon and delete any documents waiting to be printed.
      3. Close all programs.
      4. On the Windows taskbar, right-click on Start and click Explore.
      Windows Explorer is started.
      5. Double-click the file C:/Program Files/DYMO Label/Support Files/LW Remove.exe
      6. Unplug the LabelWriter's USB connection from the back of pc and click OK.
      7. Choose Select all and then remove.
Once the driver has disappeared from the printers dialog box, click Close.
      Restart the PC.
      8. When Windows has restarted, on the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to Programs, point to DYMO Label and click Uninstall DYMO Label.
      9. Reconnect the LabelWriter to the computer and reinstall both driver and software.

Dymo 400 laser turbo prints the label then multiple labels after that

This is due to the print template you have chosen.

control panel > printers > right click dymo print icon > properties > press "printing prefrences" in General tab > click "Advanced" button in layout tab

Here you can choose the paper size. The dymo "shipping label" (30573) sold in most office stores is template number is "30323 Shipping".

Also these templates choices are available in the software you are using to print the labels under file -> print setup or whatever your software calls it..maybe "print setup"
Hope this helps.

Dymo Twin Turbo install on network

You need to download the Dymo software 7.8 from Dymo. Start with the system that has the printer plugged into it. Install the software and make sure it works (prints labels) Now go to Printers and Faxes and find your printer. Right click and choose properties. Then the Sharing tab. Choose a share name that is simple. The printer will now be know to other installs as \\computername\sharename

Go to the next computer and install the software - CHOOSE NETWORK when you get the part about connection. Either enter your host computer info from above or BROWSE to it via Windows Networking. All should be fine now.

Consistantly Intermittent Connection Problems

If you've tried installing the latest drivers and the problem persists it sounds like you have a lemon. The printers have a 2 yr warranty, so I would contact the retailer you purchased from and replace the printer. If your labels are jamming. Try the compatible File Labels available at LabelValue.com. They have both the Dymo 30327 and Dymo 30277 labels in a compatible version.
