Radiator top hose or return hose, most likely cracked when you removed it to replace the housing. Undo the clamp at both ends of hose remove and replace.

There is a leak at the water outlet housing wherethe overflow tubing connects to it. There is no gasket or o ring to solve this.. how do you fix it?

check the radiator hose going to thermostat housing.it could be leaking.if hose okay.thermostat seal more likely leaking, meaning you have to replace the thermostat with seal.if thermostat with new seal still leaking.thermostat housing has a small crack in it.need replacing.

Why is my thermostat housing leaking when i jus put a new gasket n sealeant on it

Hello dcougar.

Most often when I see this happen the thermostat has slipped out of place and the lip of the thermostat is caught in between the housing and the engine.
If this has happened check the housing carefully for cracks.

When installing a new thermostat I will often use some weatherstrip adhesive to hold the thermostat in place while installing the housing.

Also I see housings warped or corroded enough that they will not seal.
Place the housing on sandpaper or emery cloth a flat surface. Rub the housing with even pressure in a figure 8 motion to make the surface flat again.

If you need any more assistance please ask me in comments. Be glad to help.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Leaking thermostat Housing (Seepage on the top side)

If it's leaking at the hose connection make sure the clamp is properly tightened. Remove the hose, clean the area well and retighten. If it's leaking at the gasket you'll need to reove the housing, completely strip the old gasket and apply a new one. Be sure the area is completely clean before putting the new one in place.

Maytag wahing machine leaks from bottom

HI. i would advise to inspect all drainage hoses that are connected to the water pump inside the unit. One of the main causes of this type of leak will be a lose hose or, cracked pump housing. Check all hoses.

**(Note- The other areas will be the actual inlet valve assembly. Check the entire assembly for cracks and lose hose connections as well. If you find any fouled hoses, replace the affected hose asap.)

I would also inspect the outer tube for cracks and corrosion. this will happen over time, causing leaks of this nature. This is uncommon but, it can occur. Lastly, check the tube seal and bearings for trama. replace if nessecery...
