Motor will not start

You appear to be describing a case of motor brushes worn out. They may be replaced on some motors, but if there is damage to the motor armature (the rotating part the brushes contact) rhe brushes mayu not last long.

It sound as though the magnitron is going. This is basically the heart of the whole unit. It will cost the same to replace the part as it will to replace the unit.

Filter being sucked into the motor

There is no way someone can hear what your vacuum is doing over the phone. Be cautious of anyone that tells you that.

If there is a clog anywhere in the lines either in the wall or the hoses it will have really high RPMs because there is no air movement slowing down the impellers. Clogs on these units are sometimes hard to clean out.

If you have a bagged unit, make sure to replace the bag. If you don't have bags then you probably need to clean out the filters and possibly replace them. I would recommend you use bags. You don't want dust and debris going into the unit's motor.

If you hear a loud grinding noise then it may be the fan or bearings in the motor. I technician could easily determine this with just a sound.

the unit should come off the wall fairly easily.

How to remove filter on beam model 2775

Remove the bucket and look up inside the tank. There will be a finger loop to help pull the filter from it's track. You can shake it clean by wrapping a garbage bag around the tank, squeezing the air from the bag ( so it doesn't puff dust back at you)and then wrapping the bag over your hand and reaching up towards the filter.
This filter has a flat metal spring in it and will snap back into place. It is not normally removed unless it has gotten damp or stinky from pet odour. It is weighted in the middle with heavy beads in a sewn pouch.

Do you know what a filter bag looks like in a central air vac system?

The unit displayed is a Beam Electrolux central vacuum power unit. It has a 15litre dust bucket which does not need any dust bags.

If you take the bucket off you will notice a white shiny weighted bag hanging down. This is the filter. The good news is, it is a self cleaning filter.

Beam central vac

Don't know the exact model, but it sounds like the low voltage relay is stuck. This will be inside the unit, probably mounted on a replaceable board. You may be able to temporarily free it with a quick tap on the top of the relay if you locate it. But I would suggest replacing it to avoid further problems. mdvacuum.com would probably have the part you need. Good Luck!!

No suction beam serenity plus

You may need a new filter bag part #110346. They can cause suction problems at the unit. Either that are there is a problem with the motor, does it sound alright when running? If not, take it to a beam repair shop, with proof of purchase, the motor would be under warranty for the part only, not labor. The filter bag is not covered by warranty.
