It seems to be a fault with the immobiliser as the immobiliser warning light on the dash will not go out.

Have a look at the users manual generally there is a way of disabling the immobilizer for towing or maintenance some are as simple as a key in a lock under the bonnet, once the immobilizer is disabled try again, if that does not work look at the wiring diagram and see where the coil/s pick up the live feed and run a patch lead from the battery positive to that wire then try again that will eliminate any wiring /immobilizer issues if it does not start then there may be other problems make sure that there is no internal issues by removing the plugs and cranking the engine if oil or water vapour is ejected during cranking you may have a blown head gasket

Whenever this warning or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module has detected a fault, it then disables the system as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)
