Question about Motorola Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Mine worked fine for one day

I just bought a Motorola 2210 myself to replace my other 2210 that failed after one year usage. NOW this NEW prelacement worked once and then after that I can't even get a solid green DSL light to come on. FRUSTRATION to the max!!!! Now I just found out that At&T isn't selling this version anymore.

    sealdogfish,

Even if it's a Motorola I'll be happy to get on the net again. Next Friday and AT&T tech will come out and see what's up. I'm betting the modem went south already. It's better for me just to pay them and do the job. I just can't understand why AT&T can approve their modems if it can't do the job.

If its new it should be under warranty, ask for a different model, preferably a different make, motorola routers arent known for their reliability.

Often losing connectivity

I had the same kind of problem with a modem that was supplied to me by my ISP. I worked and worked on it and finally broke down and bought a new one. I shopped around and spent about $100 on the new one. It has worked fine ever since. Maybe you can borrow one from somewhere and see if that is the problem. Your ISP may send you one to evaluate. The best test is to replace it and see if the problem goes away.

Hello . i have a problem with my motorola defy. i have it for 7 days and it suddenly shuts down on itself during conversations or even in stand-by. can you help me please?

Hi there!
Since this is a new phone, it would be best to bring it to the store where you purchased it so that they can replace it. A new phone like this shouldn't have any problems like that.
Hope this gives you idea.

If you have ATT DSL they should be supplying the DSl Modem. Unfortunately they supply Motorola 2210's, which systematically burn out due to overheating. The symptom is that the DSL blinnks, but the other lights to the right of that will not come on. That means it is sending requests to the network for service, but the receiving section is unable to receive the reply.

I am on my 3rd 2210 in 3 months. ATT do replace them free, but they really need to switch to a different manufacturer.

Westell A90-9100EM wireless router cant make it work

Hello angiegall366,

The Westell A90-9100EM wireless router should be able to connect to the Motorola 2210. Follow the instructions in the Motorola 2210 User guide:

If this solution is helpful please click a thumbs-up rating below.

Before you do anything, try changing the battery, As there has been a few problems with the batteries on the motorola L7 and V3i. Mine used to do the same i bought a new battery and it now works fine.
