Question about Brother LS-2125 Mechanical Sewing Machine

1 Answer

I changed my broken needle but when I tried to replace it with one that came from it per manual instructions, it just keeps falling out. I have tightened the black key and still it won't stay in. I don't know what to do at this point.

At the very top of the needle, there is a screw that points horizontally to the right. Loosen that screw and the broken needle should fall out.

The needles wont tighten they keep falling out?

Consult your owner's manual to confirm which way the flat side of the needle should face in your machine (machines differ, but most have the flat side facing the back.)

Make sure you are loosening the needle screw sufficiently so the needle will fit all the way up into the clamp. Then tighten the screw. If it does not hold, then perhaps the screw has been stripped and you will need to take it for repair.

My needle keeps falling out

Have you changed needle type? Is the needle lock screw out far enough to allow the needle to go up high enough?

Metal boot shape piece goes inside needle bar then needle they keep falling out. Metal fell out trying to change

Would you please say what model you have? I gather that there's now a problem with your needle clamp, and it won't hold needles? Those clamps can be replaced inexpensively--you just slide the old one off and the new one on--but I could be more specific about where you can buy a replacement if you supplied the model number.

How do I change a broken needle?

You need to tell us make and model when you post a question for us to give you a really good answer.

Here the generic way to replace a needle:
  1. Raise the needle fully.
  2. Look for a thumb-screw right where the needle joins the needle mechanism.
  3. Loosen the thumb-screw and catch the broken needle when it falls out.
  4. Put a new needle in the place occupied by the broken needle. Be sure the flat side of the needle is away from you.
  5. Tighten the thumb-screw.

How do I change a needle on my husqvana 905 overlocker

Each needle has a small set screw holding it in place. Just above the needle from the front you can loosen the needle by using a T6 (Tork 6) screw driver (if you don't have the original tool that came with the serger) to loosen the needle. Before loosing the screw, I would put a piece of fabric or paper over the needle plate to catch the needle (or part) to keep it from falling in the machine. Turn the screw counter clockwise (to the left) to loosen. Insert the new needle and tighten. It's not necessary to remove the screw entirely, just loosen it and the needle usually just falls out.

Good luck.

Needle keeps falling

the best thing would be to take the machine to a sewing machine shop & have them check to see what's wrong with the needle holder, cause if there's a something broken it will have to be replaced

Need instructions on threading 4-434 overlock serger

Open up the front cover. There should be a diagram right there, and you want to thread your serger step-by-step per the color-coded diagram so that the needle is in time with the movement of the loopers. If you randomly go about threading it instead of in sequence, the threads will collide and you will create a jam. The usual threading order: Upper Looper, Lower Looper, Left Needle, then Right Needle. Do you have long serger tweezers? Do you have a Looper Threader? If not, these are great tools to assist you as the Lower Looper is threaded right to left- an eye all the way to the far left, so it helps to have the tweezers and Looper Threader to maneuver in this very tight area. Many new serger users don't realize that other eye is "hiding" and miss threading it! Hopefully, you have a manual with additional pictures to help guide you. If you need a manual, try and perhaps they have one specific to your serger. Note: When you insert your needles (make sure they are #11 and #14 specific for your particular machine), the left needle will be the same size as right needle, but will APPEAR higher once both are pushed up into each of their respective needle shafts. Note: Hold onto needles or put a piece of fabric under the area when changing them/replacing them because they can easily fall out causing damage to your machine. Hope this helps. Jimmy
