SOURCE: I have had the powerbolt 1000 for two years and it

I have my random beeping problem now solved. Like so many of you, I too would have beeping sounds coming from my lock and there wasn't anything that I did could to fix it. My symptoms were EXACTLY like so many other postings which led me to believe there could be a mfct defect. I called Weiser's toll free number. After describing my problem to the lady(grouchy lady #1) she said she would send me a new key pad and it should arrive in six or seven days.I asked if this was truly the problem, response"I'm sending you a new one aren't I".I also asked if this was a common problem.response" I don't know, there's thousandsof them out there". After waiting one week I again call the same toll free number and(HAPPY CHEERY Lady #2) says, Oh yes, I'm sorry for the delay but we have run out of stock and have had to get the mfctr to produce more keypads and there is a delay as they are on backorder.Still cheery and friendly says there has been a problem(yay Someone admitted it) and you sould get the key pad in two weeks. If you have any other questions or concerns about delivery please call back.Thankyou Happy Lady. My new keypad arrived yesterday installed it right away and VOILA, problem solved.(note:grouchy lady#1 could have very easily turned this consumer to a shlage only customer,Happy lady #2 has regained my faith in positive customer relations.

I have a First Alert 9120B that beeps periodically during the night. I have replaced the battery a couple different times, but the problem not resolved. The unit is only 3 years old.

Battery used should be a fresh alkaline type. If unit still does it with a spanking new, high current battery then the circuitry of unit is not properly monitoring battery condition and responsible for the beeping. You might have to replace the unit.
On some new systems the individual alarms are interwired so that when one goes off the others will also. If you have that sort of system best to check out all units for battery condition since a bad battery in one will trigger others.

I have the same alarm and you cannot open it without breaking it so there cannot be a battery. It is then either over 10 years old, as mine is, or it is defective.

Fisher price baby monitor hand set is beeping. Replaced batteries unplugged it still beeping

Remove batteries and dry the unit if there has been an case of moisture build up that seems to trigger the unit. Use a hair dryer to warm softly , keep aside and repeat. then replace battery and try.
If not there are false alarm within the unit which might require a probe.

Thermoset is set to off but keeps beeping constantly...anyway to disconnect to stop the beeping? Batteries were recently replaced..no battery indicator light is showing. I want to take a hammer!!

Can you provide me the model number of the unit? The model number starts with 1FXX-XXX. So that i can verify if that thermostat is capable of creating a beeping sound.

My nighthawk Kidde carbon monoxide detector keeps beeping every 25-30 seconds. Do I need to buy a new one?

Some models of Carbon Monoxide Detectors will give an audible beep every 25-30 seconds after it has sounded an alert alarm. This may have happened when there was noone home to hear it. A periodic beeping sound may also indicate it is time to change the battery.

Solution: Install a new battery and check your manual for instructions on how to reset the system. Check the expiry date on your unit, it needs to be replaced after 5 to 7 years, according to the manufacturer specifications.

If you are in doubt that your Carbon Monoxide Detector is not working effectively, REPLACE IT. Your safety and your peace of mind is worth it.

I cant charge mine. it keeps making a beep

Two possibilities come to mind. 1) The battery has failed and can't be charged fully (usually one cell fails and it won't charge fully). I've diagnosed this by removing the battery and trying to charge it with a variable power supply. You can try replacing the battery.
2) The UPS itself is faulty and can't charge/maintain the battery. The entire unit should be replaced.

I recommend solution 2. I had the 725VA in this consumer UPS line and when I replaced the battery, the UPS could not keep the battery charged with any load on the unit.

Check your warranty, though. The APC warranty is for 2 years on this model.

I hope this helps.

Home security alarm keeps beeping

Most wired-in smoke detectors work off of two sources of power, electric and battery. If the beeping occurs every 30 seconds or so it most likely means you need to replace the battery in the detector. On the other hand if by beeping you mean the alarm is going off, I would first try cleaning the unit with your vacuum. If that doesn't solve the problem then the next step would be to replace the unit. Hope this helps.

It's an older unit that i just tried. When i plug

Try installing the software that is included with the unit. If you didn't get the software, I believe you can download it for free from APC's website. The software will typically give you the status of the batteries and let you know if you need to replace them. If you can't get the software, take the batteries out (keep note of the wiring configuration) and test each battery using a DC voltmeter. The batteries should read around 13.5 volts DC. If they are around or below 11.5v DC, it's time for new batteries. This model, if its the black 110v version, requires the RBC32 which can be found at: http://www.batteryinternational.com/apc-rbc32--f2.html

Good luck and I hope I could help.
