Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP4550 No Scan Options: Refer to Device Documentation

Same problem with HP Officejet J4550 All-in-One. Driver check says they are up to date. Scan test from control panel says A-ok, but the All-in-One will not scan . . .

    Hello Michael,

    Windows Vista Home Premium (16bit). FYI, HP website says this operating system does not support the HP Office Jet J4550 All-in-One front panel scan button function. HP suggests using the "From Scanner or Camera" option from the File drop down menue in the Microsoft Paint program. I tried this and it does work. Not elegant but this work-a-round will let the J4550 All-in-One scan successfully.

Double click the icon on your desktop called hp direc tor/hp solution centre.
point to settings and the point to scan settings.
click on the option that says scan to setup.
a new window will open with a list (called the destinations list).
select each item on the left hand side and then there will be a right arrow button click on that.
Once your done with all items then at the bottom of the new window there should be either an ok/update the device button now try to scan this should now work.God Bless

you need to open up either solution center or hp director, go to settings, scan settings, then scan to set up and look for the option front panel destination a window should open to reveal scan short cuts and one titled front panel list. you need to select the shortcuts click add and once satisfied click on "update device".

My Officejet Pro 8500 won't scan, says "no scan options"


Kindly install the scanner software for printer the driver software cd just re install it will install the scanner software and make sure in device manger there is not other usb device listed if it is there just remove it. And refresh it in will automatically install the driver.

Problem with HP Officejet J4550 scan function.


Delete the software in Control Panel.

Reload the software, but don't plug in the USB cable until the software tell you to.

No scan options.


HI,
this is a very normal problem with this printer..do one thing unplug the USB cable from the printer..then if its not working go unplug the USB cable..insert the CD go to my computer..right click on the cd icon explore>>util>>ccc>>uninstall l2..after that restart the system...do a complete installation..issue will be resolved...

Print Cartridge Problem


Wipe the cartridge using cotton.Clean also the wiper inside.
