When it is not draining the first thing to do is to check the drain itself. locate the pump it will be on the bottom of washer, there will be a hose that runs from it. follow the hose and it connects to a cleanout u may have to disconnect the hose to make sure it is not blocked. check the discharged hose as well. if everything is clear then u my have a bad pump. when u turn on washer do u hear the pump come on to try to pump out water? the reason it is spinning slow is because there is still water in the tub.

re original issue, see if R11 is burned. if so, need to change R11 resistor and associated triac, and probably wax motor so it won't do it again. temporary fix just cut out R11, door won't lock. if your model won't spin that way, depress actuator for microswitch from door wax motor. instructions on web.

SOURCE: i have a maytag neptune washer the water will not drain out of it

First drain as much water from the drum as possible and unplug from the outlet. Then there are 2 screws left and right under the front lower panel at floor level. Undo those two screws. Pry the front panel DOWN from the door panel. Once the lower panel is removed you will see the pump and pump filter on your right. The pump filter is to the left. It has a large turnscrew. Be ready with a pan or something to catch the water from the open filter! Screw this counterclockwise until it comes loose. You will now be able to remove the filter and all the debris. After cleaning, re-screw the turnscrew. Before you put back the front panel test that it is clear by doing a wash. If it still doesnt drain you must remove debris from the pump itself. The pump is between the pump filter and the pump motor on the right. Undo the white clips from the motor and the retaing clips attiching the filter to the metal washer body. Then turn the motor clockwise to separate it from the filter. Refit carefully after job is done. And fit outlet tube a correct height, not too deep. <courtesy tzotsi>

SOURCE: how do i fix nd code for mde5500ayw maytag neptune

There are two possible causes to the "nd" code. The first is with the pump itself. Either is is blocked or it is simply worn out and needs replacing. The second is a malfunction with the control board. Unless you find a blockage to the pump there is no way to know which one is the cause of the "nd" code without some testing or replace these items.
If you are unafraid of facing your washer with tools in hand then you should be able to test the pump. As for the board, all you can do is check it for damage most likely caused from a component melt down. In which case it's going to need replacement.

But check for blockages first because that will cause the "nd" code.
I hope this helps and good luck.

Why is my maytag Neptune Model no# MAH5500AWW spinning very slow and not draining water out?

Complete drain must occur before spin. A no drain situation would be an actual full pool of water seen in the bottom of the machine if all the cloths were removed, sounds like you are experiencing a spin enable switch failure, which mainly prevents final high speed spin leaving the cloths dripping wet. The spin enable switch contacts become tarnished/corroded over time resulting in poor connection. If the door lock light comes on than your door lock wax motor is working. The spin enable switch is the last switch to the right in the door lock unit where the light bulb is. Part# is 22002162. If there is an actual pool of water in the bottom of the machine as if you simply removed the cloths from the unit but left the wash water, than you should look first look to your drain pump for failure, or obstruction of foreign objects, or excess lint in the pump.
