Dell All in One 926 won't print from Vista

Computer no longer prints. The scroll menu on the printer only gives me the options of fax, menu, copy, etc. but no "print" option anymore. My computer still recognizes the printer, though... Any thoughts?

Left click on "Control Panel." Left click on "Hardware" and then left click on "Printers and Devices." 3 Locate and double left click on the icon for the Dell Photo 926 printer. The printer control window will open. Double left click on the "Adjust Print Options" button. 4 Click on the "Services" tab in the printer's window menu bar. Double left click on the "Align Print Cartridges" button." Left click on "align." Wait for the "Parameter" page to print. 5 Compare the figures on printed parameter page to current settings in the "Align Print Cartridges" window that has popped up on the computer. If the figures on the printed page correspond to the figures displayed in the window the cartridges are in alignment. If the figures on the page do not correspond with the figures in the window you need to set new parameters. Hi,

You need to disable or turn off the Print Fax option from printer setup menu.

Press Setup button on the printer front panel ( ranch like symbol )
Scroll till you find Basic Fax settings - Press OK
Scroll till you find Fax to PC - Press OK
You will find option Print Fax - Press OK
Turn it OFF
Exit the Setup and The printer will no longer print any B/W faxes except for Color.

My Dell Photo 926 stopped printing in color. It prints in black and white. If I make a copy, it can still make a color copy. I'm stuck.

if u can make a copy in color , rest assure ,nothing wrong with the printer .

it s only needs a setting change to be done .

is your pc running on xp r vista ?>

if xp : click start-->run-->type control printers --> your 926 printer should be displayed -->right click on printer icon and choose preferances-->..click on advanced option --more options --see if print color image in black and white is checked ? if so uncheck it

if vista : click start ---the cursor would flash on "start search "...typre printers and press enter key ...then ..your 926 printer should be displayed -->right click on printer icon and choose preferances-->..click on advanced option --more options --see if print color image in black and white is checked ? if so uncheck it

Says it's printing but it's not

Go to your "start menu" and look for "printers and faxes" then after that it should bring up a screen with your current printers and faxing machines. Make sure your Dell 926 InkJet has a little black check by it. If not then right-click the Dell InkJet and select "set as default printer". If it already is, then right-click it again and make sure it isn't paused. It will give you an option to "resume printing". After that then it should work. Make sure to also delete the old printers that may be on the computer too, the reason is because it may block out your other computer.

printer wont print anything. computer says no print documents pending even though ive clicked print a few times and on different programs and internet pages as well. printer will print only if i copy something press print test page from the printer itself but it doesnt print anything from the computer

Dell 926 printing freezing when using remote desktop

I've had a problem with a 926 freezing at the end of printing when deleting the job from the print queue.This was as a local or network computer/printer task.I changed the print processor to winprint/NT EMF 1.008 and this cured the problem.Right click on the printer/properties/Advanced/Print processor and give it a try.HTH.

Can't print

Step 1. Go to Control Panel--Windows updates; click Check for Updates--Windows is sending updates for different printers. If there is one install it. See if that takes care of the problem.
If not, go to Step 2.

Step 2.---Turn on the Printer---go to Control Panel---Device Manager. Under device manager look for any yellow exclamation point, if there are any under "Imaging device" or Portable Devices, then there is something wrong with the driver. Go to www.dell.com at the top type in 926 printer, the next page click on the first result "Install Dell 926 All-In-One Printer Drivers. Follow the directions one by one, start with the first and work your way down.

There is a firmware update release 1/6/2008 for the Dell 926
Go to www.dell.com home page. Go to Support and Help in the middle of the screen, put the cursor over it and click Drivers and Downloads; next screen identify your model: Select Model-Printer; select you product line--click on Printer; next page Select you Product Model 926 (Personal All-In-One) click on it;
then confirm Under Printers click the plus sign and it will give you 4 options, choose the firmware option. DO NOT INSTALL THIS FIRMWARE UNDER YOU HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING ELSE. SOMETIMES FIRMWARE CAN MAKE DEVICES INOPERABLE.
