Question about Computers & Internet
I have D102CCF2 motherboard,
a few days ago i installed DDR2 1GB of ram of 667 MHZ and it worked for me well,
the next day i again put in 1 more GB,
but its showing that it does only have 1GB of ram,
the problem is that its not picking the dual channel same time and only showing 1024MB in BIOS,
although both the rams are of same type
ie DDR2, 667 MHZ...
please some one help me...
pls help guys...
Hopefully you inserted two similiar 1 GB RAM memory devices by the same manufacturer into the right slots 1
you may have a board that:
- has four slots available (two + two)
- but supports only a maximum of 1GB (two similiar 512mb devices)
-supports only a max of 2 GB of the same kind and same manufacturer,
so inserting all u got and hoping the PC does the memory management might not work!
please see the mainboard manual (if u have one) or download it from the manufacturer's site.
