Question about Dell 1815dn All-In-One Laser Printer
This is the 2nd cart where the % decline is very slow and both have run out of toner at about 70%. When I install a new cartridge it shows 100% and prints fine.
On most laser printers the toner in the cartridges is distributed by a rotating feed mechanism. This method works ok but is not the best for even distribution. Many times the toner will build up in the ends of the cartridge where the feeder can't move it around like it should. Try takeing the cartridge out of your printer and shaking the cartridge from side to side not up and down(that would only pack it tighter in the ends) After this reinsert the cartridge in your printer and try printing again.
