SOURCE: water level to low on boiler

There is a automatic valve that is suppose to open when water gets low in the system. They do rust up and quit working. You can add water to the system. There should be a waterline making a loop around the automatic valve. It will have a manual valve open this up to allow the water through and close it again when the correct water pressure/level is acheived. Should replace the automatic valve as soon as possible. I hope this has helped, please rate if it has helped in any way. Good Luck and have a great weekend.

SOURCE: Gas boiler leaking

The video zeroed in on a relief valve. They love to leak once opened. If it won't re-seal after you lift the little handle and let out some water, you will have to replace it.

Usually, this means that the water tank is leaking. It is not worthwhile to fix the leakage unless you have welding equipment. Just buy a new one.

My Lochinvar residential gas heater is showing "lockout low water level. What could this be?

First, I'm not a Lochinvar Tech.
* call vendor for service. Gas leaks are hazardous and require a qualified tech to service.
* Low water indicator usually means your supply water stopped feeding. Check the water line for pressure. Turn on a faucet or nearby sink for both cold and hot water. If you get cold water but not hot (or at least water flowing from the hot side even though it's cold water as your heater is still off.) then check the cold water inlet to the heater as it might be off. Check if the output of the heater is turned on. (some heaters have a shut off valve at inlet and outlet to allow for quick heater replacement.)
* If you still don't get water then you have a clogged water line. Though it is possible to have a clogged heater, especially if it's 10 years old or you have a lot of sediment (sand) in your water. You would know this as your sink faucets spout screens needs constant clean out. (like every month it gets clogged) May need to replace heater and/or call a plumber if the water line is clogged.

*** The following is for information only.***
* I've always had problems servicing gas stove, heaters, boilers, etc. Lots of unique components that require special tools to service.
* I was surprised to find out that it's better to call on your local Gas Supplier for service. The not only check the supply line but also have a very good working experience with all types of gas fired equipment.
* Check gas mains for pressure and flow (you need a gas meter for this but if you have another stove on the same line then it's probable that the mains are okay. Unless the connector or shutoff valve is not working properly (partial open).
* Check gas hose to for sharp bends. Replace if bent (re bending will crack a metal hose.)
* Check the gas regulator (again, need a gas meter)
* Final, Be safe; Call your Gas company or MFR tech for service.

In my experience thermocouple either work or they do not.when a water heater runs for a length of time before the interupter cuts the pilot or on some modules safety cut out sensor also known as over heat thermostat cuts the gas supply the problem can normally be found in the flue restricting the disposal of waste products of the combustion or the lach of air flow through the appliance

I have a Rheem glas fury model 22-40 gas water - leaking

Dear Hank McNeal; I have successfully used a "boiler plug" to seal a water heater tank leak in 2007. It was a 100 gallon electric commercial hotel unit. To this day it's still in use. It depends where the leak is located....Predrilling the leak is necessary to be sure the plug will ernguage it's threads into good material... Start as small as possible, then use the best suited plug. they come in an assortment of sizes. rheem-glas-fury-model-22-40-gas-water-qbzdprdp3yetvbzozs4dsujq-4-0.jpg
