SOURCE: emi using excel

The function in Excel for calculating EMI is not EMI but PMT. It requires minimum three arguments. They are 1. Rate of interest (Rate), 2. Number of periods (Nper) and 3. Value of loan or present value (Pv) in that order, that is, PMT (Rate, Nper, Pv) If you want to find EMI for 1 lakh at 10% annual interest for 10 years you enter the following in one of the cells: = pmt(10%/12, 10*12, 100000)

Here is some code that I found in this book:
Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Professional, Step by Step.
By Michael Halvorson
Second Edition.
ISBN: 0-7356-1883-6
Code removed for possible copyright issues.

That program in VB6 will open an Excel workbook, and then insert the data into the cells at B1, B2 and B3.
You can change this to have a textbox show up to ask for info to insert into the cells as appropiate.

If you look at and search there, they may still have some code that you can download.

Hello avidav

Give this a try? If this doesnot work please do not rate for it closes post.

Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> 11.0 -> Delivery
There should be only 1 directory under Delivery, which is yourDownloadCode (mine was 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9). Select that directory. On the right side of the screen, right-click on CDCache. Change the value to 0.

    What is the symbol with the light indicator for?

    That's the Scroll Lock indicator.

    While not really used for anything today, Scroll Lock used to serve a purpose in DOS text editors - if it was on, and you'd press the Down arrow on your keyboard, the document would scroll down. If it was off, you would move your cursor to the line below it.

    It should also work on Microsoft Excel - try it. Open up Excel, make sure Scroll Lock is on, and press the Down or Up arrows. Now turn it off, and see what happens.

    If you don't know how to turn it off, search for a key marked "Scroll Lock" or any short versions of that name. If it's in a different color, you may need to press Fun+ScrollLock for the light to go off.
