Just make sure you have the proper oil to gas ratio for the fuel. 40 to 1, and you have chain oil for the bar. Thats about it.

Hello. I just bought a Baumer AG SX75 Chainsaw and have just taken it out of box. Believe a plastic piece is locking brake. Advise

read the user manual first as it will show any parts used for transport that have to be removed The user manual shows that the chainsaw comes supplied with plastic spacers (BB) underneath the chain drive cover and over or around the chain drive cover studs (CC)
Those spacers are for shipping purposes only and must be discarded before mounting the chain bar
The manual that I got that from can be downloaded as a baumr AG chainsaw manual pdf from www.datastreamserver.com>bau
The last baumr product( impact drill) that I purchased included the user manual in the box

Mcculloch Instructions

what im about to say, i mean no disrespect, im only saying this due to safety concerns.

If you do not know how to make this chainsaw work, Im assuming you have not operated a chainsaw before?

But for a few before starting tips, the gas is mixed with a 2 stroke oil mixture, and the oil that goes in a seperate place is a special type of chainsaw oil, not ur regular car oil. (unless however you have a new 4 stroke chainsaw, in which case it will just take regular gas)

I highly recommend finding someone who can show you how to use one of these first. This machine can remove body parts in seconds if you don't know how to operate it. and this is a different situation that the the term being careless. theres some things that hurt you for being careless, a chainsaw can hurt/kill you even if you think your doing everything correctly, but because not knowing one thing (like that the 2nd black handle forward of the solid one is the chain lockup, keeps its from coming up and eating your face or hand.) can really hurt something.

I bought a Poulan 18" chainsaw, and from the very

Poulan has had a notorious carb issue over the past couple of years. Products roll off the line needing a carb adjustment right out of the box. One adjustment is covered under the warranty at a service dealer near you. Look up your closest dealer at poulan.com. This is not something consumer serviceable as it requires a special tool.

I need a user manual for Mc Culloch pm 484 chain saw. Can you help me?

In order to find the manual for this chainsaw, you will want to visit this site: http://www.mccullochpower.com/node7877.aspx
Before you can do so, you will need the serial number from your chainsaw. It is a 9 digit code that will start with 966. (An example for an actual mcculloch product is 966994001).
Once you have the 9 digit code, type it into the search box and you should be on your way.
If you cannot find the 9 digit code, simply type "chain" into the search box. There are manuals for about 12 mcculloch chainsaws. One of them should probably work for your chainsaw.

Good luck!

I need to know a fuel oil ratio.

Regardless of what the manual says once adjusted your saw will perform better with this mix.
Do you need bar oil? Available at any Hardware or Home Center.
Fuel/Oil Mixture
  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL suppliers recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 2gal premium/8oz chainsaw 2-cycle engine oil - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (1gal premium/2.6oz Stihl 2-cycle engine oil)
  2. Any fuel containing ethanol is not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few weeks. Anything over 1.5 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH

I need to know the right angle to sharpen my chainsaw

If your saw still has the original bar and chain, it was supplied with a .325" pitch chain and you'll need a 3/8" round file with a sharpening guide to properly sharpen it.

Here's a link to the Husqvarna site to the Rancher 455 models so you can select the correct manual to download, that matches your particular saw, based on the year of manufacture, etc.

There is some excellent information about maintaining your saw, along with a really good guide with step-by-step instructions for proper sharpening.

http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/?query=455&types=O

If you're having trouble figuring out the right manual for your saw, use the online Customer Support page and they'll reply.

Hope you find this Very Helpful - Best regards!
