SOURCE: Issues downloading audio files from Sony minidisc to my computer

You can't. You can only transfer digital files from your pc to your Minidisc player., it's a one way street. there's no hack for it either as it's a basic hardware issue within the player itself.

If you want to download from the player to the pc you'll have to connect the audio output to your pc and record it the old-fashioned way which loses a bit of quality. All Minidisc compliant players were like this until the advent of the Hi MD format which succeeded the Net MD's as an anti-piracy measure.

DEAR SIR/MADAM WHEN I TRY TO RECORD MY VOICE VIA MICRO PHONE SINGING WHILE THE CD MUSIC TRACKS ARE PLAYING I COULD NOT RECORD THAT TO THE MINI DISC.PLEASE ADVISE ME HOW COULD I CONNECT IT DIGITALLY

It is much easier to use an analog mixer and microphone thru the mixer. I would plug the microphone into the mike input on the mixer and then the Karaoke machine to stereo LINE inputs on the the Mixer, then Mixer Output or Tape Output on the mixer to analog LINE IN on the MiniDisc recorder.
Let me know if you need more info.

I turned off power to minidisk during recording. Is my recording lost?

There is every possibility that the recording was interrupted and so was not saved on to the disc.
You can connect the player to your PC and scan to see all the files present in the memory which will be much easier that to scan all the files on player.
Open and check according to the search on the list of files. You will be able to confirm if the recording was saved.
You will be lucky if the recording was saved .
Good luck

Is there ANY software available that will allow me to transfer my minidisc recordings to my iMac ?

No. Net MD's are physically incapable of digitally uploading their content to external devices. Digital transfers are a one-way street into the player: the original recording remains on the host pc and a copy is transferred onto the player.

There is no hack, no software and nothing else which will allow digital uploads as the hardware just isn't there to start with. The only way to transfer recordings is to record them from the headphone socket (set volume to maximum and turn digital signal processing off, or better still use the menu selection to set the headphone socket to LINE output).

To do this you just need a standard male to male headphone lead.

I recorded analog music on md.now how can i transfer analog music to pc and chanege it to digital music on memory of pc.

Your analogue music will have been recorded digitally by your machine.

Digital transfers are only possible from the host pc/Mac to the player and not the other way around.

But you can transfer the audio signal by connecting the headphone output to the Mac audio input; look into the Minidisc player menu and you can set the headphone socket to "line" which bypasses the volume control circuits for better quality, your computer will then re-convert the analogue input into a digital signal with a small loss of quality.

Won't play

If you had your headphones connected via the in-line remote control, then try connecting them directly to the player.

If this doesn't work then your player is effectively a spare parts donor: buy another one as good used ones are dirt cheap, even the top of the line and fantastic MZ-N910.
