Question about Heating & Cooling
Use the type of refrigerant it came from the factory with unless you, or someone before you, converted it to a different type. You cannot mix R-134A and R-12 in the same system without purging and converting to the new type. The oils are incompatible.
If you have an R12 system, and can't find any genuine R12, there are compatible substitutes available in 15oz cans. Just Google "R12 Substitute".
