Unit shuts down after approximately two minutes and stays off for approximately 10 minutes before coming back on as if a circuit breaker tripped and that unit will not come on

William,
Sounds like your thermal overload is tripping out. The first thing I would suggest is looking for your vent holes where the internal fan pulls in cool air for cooling purposes, and you could find that those holes may be blocked with lint. Clean that off and see if that makes any changes. If it still does that, I would recommend having a professional look at it because there is some seriously dangerous voltage that can be stored in there and you do not want to angle with that. Hope this helps!

My Panasonic genius sensor 1250W microwave has stop working, now is their fuses i need to check,or is their a way i can, check the heating element to see if i us out.

Kevin,
There is a fuse in a microwave. One way you can tell for sure if the fuse has blown is that there will be no lights or any activity when you push buttons. The screen will not light up either. If that is your case, then you can be fairly certain that your fuse has blown. I would suggest before working on it that you plug something else into the same outlet and see if it works okay so that you can eliminate that you lost power in your outlet. If all of that is okay, then turn your microwave around so that you are looking at the back and take out the screws that hold the cover on. Remove the cover and look at where the power cord goes into the back of the unit. Find the black wire from the power cord and follow it to either an inline fuse holder, or a fuse block, or a circuit board. Depending on your model, you should have one of these three options. Make sure that you replace your fuse with the same amperage fuse that you take out. Look on the metal rings at each end of the fuse and that will tell you what amp fuse you need. Hope tis helps!

Remove front panel from a jenn air microwave

I do not have that microwave, but the documentation that came with it may include a parts diagram that will provide a hint as to whether there is another piece holding it. Jenn-Air's support page for that unit may have more information. Failing that you might call their support , or their support site may have instant chat. Sorry I can't help specifically, but these are some avenues that have worked for me

Westpoint dishwasher trips the electricity

is this a new machine that is replacing and old one? because if it is tripping your breakers it means that the machine is asking for more amperage than the breaker is capable to sustain. make sure that you check the amperage rating is on the machine and you will be able to use the appropriate breaker that is needed for it. another thing that could also be happening is, if that cirquit is being shared with something else in your kitchen, these machines are for the most part need to be dedicated cirquits.

MICRO DOES'NT HEAT

First, check to make sure that the door is closing and latching fully and that there is nothing jamming any of those mechanisms. There are safety devices that keep microwaves from turning on if they think the door is open/ajar.

If the door is fine and the rest of the functions (timer, etc.) are behaving, it's probably a busted magnetron. That's the part that actually emits the waves that do the heating. It's a part that can be replaced, but probably cheaper to get a new microwave.

Can not open the door in microwave the release button springs seem to not working can that be fixed. Have opened the release button but cannot see the problem

Do not pry the door open since there is an easier remedy which will lead you in the direction that you need to fix your problem. Take the cover off after you disconnect the power to it. Once you have taken the cover off (only a few screws) you will be able to see the two latches that hold the door closed and the link that opens both of them. You can just lift both latches at the same time and it will open. After you have done that take a good look and press in on the open door button and you will see where you have the problem of the door hanging. That button should push a linkage that pushes up on both latches at once to open the door. It is spring loaded so that it comes back down so that when you close the door it will hold the door close. You need to take the cover off the microwave so that you can pull both of the latches that hold the door closed up. When you push the button in it engages a linkage that pushes both taches up at the same time to open the door. It is springloaded and will come back down during normal operation to hold the door closed when you close it again. That area is where your problem is. By looking at what happens when you press the open door button you should be able to readily see where the problem lies in that linkage

Microwave won't turn on

When you say that the microwave won't turn on, can I assume that you mean that the food does not heat up! If that is the case, the problem lies with the magnetron circuit. This circuit consists of the transformer, rectifier and the magnetron, the part that generates the microwaves to heat the food. If it is the magenetron, then it probally not worth fixing since the cost to purchase the magnetron is almost as much as a new oven. To diagnose if it is the magnetron that has failed, when you turn on the oven, do you hear a louder that normal hum or buzzing sound? If that is the case, then it means that the magnetron is shorted and needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps.

GE Spacesaver 1800 XL - rattling sound

Hi jnflanders,
You've probably solved this by now, but I'll answer just in case. That part is called the stirrer motor. You can replace it yourself, as long as you have an offset phillip's head screwdriver handy.
Before you order the replacement part, figure out if your stirrer is driven by a d-shaped or a square shaft. You can tell by taking off the round plate on the inside top wall of the microwave. GE makes stirrer motors for both d-shaped and square shafts, so you'll have to get the right one. Here's the d-shaped motor that fixed this problem with my microwave: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=2024961.
Good luck!

There is an excellent site www.applianceprosparts.com that has parts for your oven. Also Dacor has an official site that you can find on the internet that has that brands particular parts and accessories. There are pictures as well to be sure that you are getting the right part. Between the two you should find exactly what you need.

GE JVM1650 Microwave Suddenly Stops

Tami,
It isn't really difficult to replace... It's the 4000 Volts that go to it and the stored energy (voltage) in the high voltage capacitor that concerns me as far as telling you that it is a do it yourself repair. Also, and this a huge concern, is that after the magnetron tube is replaced, the microwave should be leak checked. A microwave leak detector that is certified is around $400. Now that I said that, I have rarely ever had one that leaked, but it is the law and that's the main reason that it needs to be done. I highly recommend calling GE Factory Service 1-800-432-2737 (1-800-GE Cares) to install the magnetron tube.
