Have an Hitachi 42 PMA400e Plasma Tv.

Unfortunately, if there is no headphone connector on the TV there is no practical way of accomplishing the alternate arrangement.

Hitachi 42 PMA400e Plasma Tv.

Just get a headphone jack that does not shut off the speakers and have your dad plug his headphones into that.

My plasma TV has no headphone jack. what do I do to use TV headphone?

The only way to do it (unless you go inside the TV and modify the TV) is to use a small headphone amplifier (or powered PC speaker system with out headphone jack) and connect it to the AUDIO line out (Red and White RCA jacks) on the back of the TV.

I have an lg 32ld350. I plugged in headphones into it as to not annoy anyone with the tv and when i was done i unplugged them and now i have no sound unless i use headphones. Even with them unplugged it...

Turn off ur tv.Tries take the head phone steal jack plug it in and unplug it out do this like three or four times.Tries the tv menu audio resetting again. The audio should return.Don't used ur tv head phone again the input jack socket it have problems, just lower ur tv volume for not to annoy anyone.Or used the tv head phone jack socket again will damage it for good, and will never get sound out throught ur tv speaker again.

The tv sensor is not working on my 42" lg lcd hdtv

Believe it or not...THIS WORKS!!!!

Look on the back of your set for an external remote jack. It should be the same size as a small headphone jack. If it has one, use a spare headphone plug or your headphones, and plug them in and out about 50 times. This will clean the tarnished contacts and make your remote sensor start working. Your remote sensor goes through a switch on this jack.
