You might have to change your sensor on overflow bottle.

Coolant sensor wiring would be the next place to look. Make sure connector is good, and look for broken wires.

SOURCE: my 2000 jeep grand cherokee is overheating

replace your cooling fan motor relay because if you dont eventually your radiator will explode and this will cause your engine block to crack and then if your fan isn't blowing the engine will continue to overheat and the engine will seize and then you need a new engine. A cooling fan motor relay is around $30.

SOURCE: I have 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and it is leaking coolant

Front drivers side could be a bad cap, lower hose or the radiator itself. You need to look carefully and find the leak source. Steam travels and isn't a good indication of where the actual leak is coolant will run down and take any path it can to reach the ground. Therefore, you need to follow it back to where it is coming from, then deal with it. Your water pump can also leak and run down the lower hose. there is a small hole in the pump behind the pulley. If you see coolant coming from there the pump needs to be replaced. Sealers will not work on hoses or pump leaks so don't bother using them for that.

When driving my 05 jeep cherockee the heat blows out warm but when stop it blows out cold

the first thing I would check is the coolant level. Top off as necessary. Then see if the no heat symptom resolves itself. If the level goes low again in a short period of time than you have a coolant leak.

You may be able to find it with a visual inspection. Other times the cooling system will need to be pressurized in order to find the leak.

If the coolant level is not low than it is possible that the heater core has become plugged. If the coolant is nasty than this could be a possibility. Back flushing the heater core may help.

Let me know what you find or if you have any questions.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lerado, low coolant alarm

This same thing happened to mine. It only happened in really cold weather though. I added a few inches more of coolant into the overflow. It fixed the problem. I also discovered if that is not the problem, the sensor in the overflow can go out and a replacement is about 20 bucks.
