SOURCE: Sony DSR-45 will not eject tape nor play,ff,rewind shows error

The generic error codes C32:xx indicate that a motor is not functioning. If you have not worked on these machines before, extreme caution is advised. These have extremely sensitive alignments that can easily be disturbed.

Please update this with your familiarity with these machines and I'll try to provide additional directions.

Thanks,
Dan

SOURCE: tape stuck in sony uvw-1800

02-874 error code signifies a defective takeup reel. The reel is not winding the tape in, so the deck won't go through the eject procedure. Check the connection to the takeup reel motor; if that's OK, the motor itself may be bad. Rarely, the takeup reel motor assembly will need to be replaced; usually it's a connection problem.

MODEL GX250. CD PLAYER DOES NOT WORK. SYSTEM WAS IN STAND-BY MODE FOR SOME YEARS. TUNER AND TAPE PLAYERS WORK FINE. QUICK SOLUTION PLEASE.

This should be because you have not used the player for many years. Does the system eject the CD tray? Use the CD head cleaner CD that removes dust on the laser head if any. Try using the audio CD which are recorded in .cda format and not ion MP3 format.

in the unit there are two things that you will have to check
1) one is the lens which reads the cd in the unit.
2) second is the gear that moves up and down to the tape/cd.
------
if the lens is not getting adjusted after you turn it on/off then this problem happens also if the gear is not moving properly then also same problem occurs.if the gears are getting blocked then also this happens.as you mentioned it works that means the unit is not faulty but there is minor problem in lens or gear assembly just get it resetted by checking it.also local electronic repair shop can realign the unit.the unit need proper servicing to get it work properly.
---------
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

Panasonic Stereo system SC-PM28 will not eject any of 5 CDs in stack. Tape deck OK, as is tuner. Any ideas please.stellamurg

These units are known for getting out of time. There is an engineering modification that can be done to prevent this from happening again. Your best bet is to bring it to a Panasonic authorized service center. They will rebuild the CD loading mechanism and make the appropriate changes. I have made this modification numerous times and have not seen a return of the problem once completed.
