Look for splatter signs along all of the inter panels, including the ones removed, splatter marks will be just below the line of the tub. Pleazer Appliance...

SOURCE: Maytag top loading washer will not agitate

My rule of thumb: Take what you paid for the washer new and divide by number of years without repairs. That is your cost per year for the washer. If the repair will get you another year and is less than the number above do the repair. If you have done more than 2 major repairs in a year it is time to think new. eric

SOURCE: Top loading maytag washer leaking water during wash cycle

Hi, There are two spring clips located in the gap between the top and front panel. They are the edges.
If the pump and hoses aare ok, fill the washer with water and look up toward the center of the tub abd transmission area. It migth have a seal going bad.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: washer leaking water on floor

Need to check drain pump and its hose connections. If its not from the drum seal then that's usually where the leaks occur.

Realistically, a 10-year old Maytag is nearing the end of its usual life. The pump may be leaking at random times during a wash cycle. If you put 50% of the cost of a new one into repairs, it is time to thing seriously about replacement of the machine.

Water leak from under refrigerator

Only two possible sources for a leak one is an ice maker, the other is defrost drain water. Either way it is only 9 months old and still under full warranty!! Call sears and have them come and look at it! I have seen a few of these units with cracked drain pans so be persistent if the tech cannot find a leak, have him pour some water into the pan to see if there is a crack.
good luck and save yourself some stress.. You have a warranty to cover this:)

I have a maytag fridge, its maybe 3 years old, lately it keeps forming a pool of water in the front, the drain pan underneath is always dry, seems to be leaking fron the sises,a drain hose plugged or came off...

This is one of the most common problems that the maytag side by side has. ( Admiral ) The drain in the interior rear gets plugged and all of the defrost cycles over a week or so produces enough water to freeze up and the run over and come out under the basket then on to the floor in front left. If this is your problem, shut of the ref., remove the 2 or 3 baskets and remove the 2 screws holding the lower panel on. Remove the panel, careful not to cut yourself on the coil fins, remove the ice carefully, then use some hot/warm water to the drain area with a baster or something to apply and remove the water until it thaws and the drain clears of ice. Its about a 15 to 20 min. job. good luck.

Maytag washing machine leak

I've got the same problem going on. You can take the front off the machine . Its two panels held on by four screws. This will expose the "guts of the machine, plus you can lift the top up, but not really enough to do a major repair. You will be able to see the water leaking though. Good luck. I bought mine used about three years ago and am thinking its not worth fixing. The machine I'm guessing is about 8=9 years old. If your looking for a used machine, you might want to check with a "Resale" type store. We have a Habitat for Humanity Resale store that gets good used appliances in sometimes. Of course, whenever you buy used, your taking a chance. However, when you look at the cost of new ones compared to used ones a couple of years old, it might be worth it. I looked at Maytags at my local Lowes, and they were about $600.00. Used ones are about $100.00. Good luck. Hope things work out for you.

Maytag A212 clothes washer, leaking on fill up.

Possibly Injector / Vacuum break unit has gone bad (mine started spilling water lately, 20 years old). Get a 216201 to replace in your vacuum break, or better (if the machine is older) replace everything from the water valve with a kit: SUB 206680 (INJECTOR HOSE KIT).

Quite easy to get to. Just open front panel (remove two screws at bottom, lift bottom of panel away from machine and swing out. Spring clips at top should release easily. Then remove two bolts that hold top cover down and lift top. Water injector/vacuum break will be at the rear left of the machine. Costs about $40 for the kit. Or $5 for the small rubber part (but I am replacing everything that is pressurized on my machine since it is 20yrs old). -- Kevin

Its most likely the tub seal at the bottom, check and see if the area inside is wet in the middle. You will need to remove the outer panels to do this. It doesn't sound like anything else if the water was left to sit so a replacement of the seals around the center shaft should fix this problem. Let me know if you have any questions about doing this and I would be happy to help.
