Sounds like an issue with incompatible, mismatched or bad RAM sticks (SIMMs). Even if ram sticks say they will operate at lower clock speeds, this does not always happen. You need to find the RAM in your computer and check the SIMMS. If they are different, you will need to find one that is the same as the higher speed (better performance) or the lower speed (less money). If they are identical then one of them may be faulty.

If your laptop is still under warranty, have Dell look at it. If not then you should be able to do this yourself using internet help videos or find a reasonably priced repair shop.

You may also try the following, remove the memory SIMMS and clean the edges. Use something like an airduster to remove any particles in the case and then re-insert the RAM.

SOURCE: I ran diagnostics on my Dell Inspiron 1525.

1. reseat the ram
2. at the buttom part of the laptop you will see a window covered which will allow you to remove and have the ram be reseated.
3. take out 1 ram firs then run test then run again the test using the other slot. please test each ram on each slot. check if the faulty if the ram or either of the rams of one of the slots. if both ram passed on one of the slots means that ram is ok and slot is not, so then replace the motherboard. if one ram errors on a slot which the ram passed then that ram might be faulty and needs replacement.

You must login in with the administrators account to change other users passwords or retrieve them. If you don't know the administrators password you may have to start from scratch and re-install the O/S.

It sounds like you are having memory issues with your computer. The best thing you can do is just replace the memory the computer sounds just fine you just need new memory. If you go to this link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134117&cm_re=DDR2-800-_-20-134-117-_-Product on newegg.com. Order these sticks of memory you would be fine. All you need to do is just open up the dell case. Remove the old memory sticks from the main motherboard. Then install the new sticks and you will be able to reboot your system and should run just fine.

One bad lead will cause your computer to shut down or continue in a cycle
replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to your hard drive
hope this helps

Ran hp diagnostics and got error code biome-1 It also said test memory 8192 mb. What does this mean and how do I fix it

The error simply means that you have a defective memory modules. If you have more than one memory module, remove all then install one at a time, this is to isolate the defective module.
Good day and good luck.
