Are you referring to the fuel lines and if so did you get them mixed up and hooked on the wrong carb inlet? If so try reversing them and see if it starts.

I have a 1994 mercury 90 2 stroke . I have replaced trigger , power pac , plugs , fuel filter and coils to start . It run good up to 3100 rpms then bogs down like it only runs on 2. cylinder ! What could...

Have you checked the "Fuel Pressure Regulator", the ethanol in gas these days can cause the tubes to swell and crack... also the little diaphram inside the regulator can get stuck causing the motor to bog down under a load. if you have a book you can locate it. if not you can likely go to Boats.net and enter your motors serial number to seek out parts and it will usually take you to different schematics and diagrams for each part.

I have a Mercury 115 four stroke and did all of the same things that you did... spent upwards of $1,000.00. to do a maintenance overhaul and it still bogged down when i got up around 2800 to 3100 RPM. it turned out to be an $85 part and about 45 minutes to change out my Fuel Pressure Regulator. Its worth a shot!

Irractic and high idle is normally an air leak, so yes it could be crank seal leaking, or the induction tube cracked, or the impulse tube from the crankcase to the carb cracked, or the cylinder base gasket blown out.

One question, im looking to buy a husqvarna k760 demo saw, i need to cut metal, such as truck and trailer frames. just need to cut them down to length so i can load and bring to scrap yard. i figure it...

The K760 black cutter blade is called a Cut-n-Break blade. The manufacturer states that it has an improved stable core to increase its performance. I have a friend who recycles scrap metal and uses the Mastercraft 5" dual cutter. It cuts through metal like butter without any kickback.

Hope this helps,

My 97 oldsmobile cutlass supreme is leaking coolant and over heating, why? I also noticed tht the oil is milky. Please help

The most likely source of your problem is NOT a head gasket or cracked head, but the black plastic plenum or "upper intake manifold". These GM engines tend to melt, crack, or warp the plenum because of the hot EGR tube sticking up through the plastic.

If water is getting into your oil (milky looking), your lower intake manifold gasket is probably cracked. Once the plenum is off the engine, there are only about a dozen bolts holding the lower intake manifold on. When you replace the gasket, it is recommended to use an ALL METAL gasket with rubber seals to prevent this from happening again. The metal gaskets cost about $80 where as the plastic ones that are prone to breaking cost about $45. Better to fix it right once than to do it wrong several times.

Also, if you are still using Dexcool coolant (orangeish), be sure to change it every two years or so as it does bad things to seals when it gets old.
