Question about Shimano Rd-Ty18-6-Gsd Bike Rear Derailleur with Bracket

Open Question

Does anyone have fitting instructions Shimano Rd-Ty18-6-Gsd Bike Rear Derailleur with Bracket

This does not seem to bolt in, just slides onto rear axle, so I'm stumped on how to position the bracket which seems to come with a screw and half circle nut which I think is a spacer

Broken inner plate can be a potential warranty. Contact your local bike shop and they can process the warranty for you, if it isn't a warranty then the same shop can order you a new plate.

Just get the bottom bracket that fits the crankset you have. You're not married to any particular style or type.

The semi-circular spacer is what holds the derailleur in the dropout. Take the part that looks like a "C" and line it up on the drop out, the spacer goes on the other side of the dropout. There should be a screw that fastens to the spacer and clamps the derailleur to the drop out.

Why cant I find any information on my Shimano Tourney RD-TY10 rear derailleur?

Because it's been out of production for some time. There's no useful info to be had anyway. It is adjusted the same as most any rear friction derailleur. It is not useable with indexed levers (click to shift). If you really think you need info do the following Google search: "RD-TY10 site:shimano.com" and scroll through the results.

Can I replace a Shimano RD-TY15 with Shimano Tourney TX?

Main thing with gears is that they have the same number of gears, and that the cage is the same length. Also the RD TY15 has a built in hanger.

The Tourney pictured has a built in hanger (below link) just make sure the replacement does.

Can I replace a Shimano RD-TY15 with a Shimano Tourney TX?

This may be to do with the replacement having a shorter cage, so it can't go on the big sprocket and big chain ring at the same time.

Try to not use the big rear sproket and the the big front chaining at at the same time,

How do i connect cable to front derailer on shimano comfort 050 gears ?

I'm confused, You show a rear derailleur and ask a question about a front one? Cable for front usually goes from bottom up, through an eyelet then into the holding bolt. Make sure your cable is in the low gear setting and your chain is on the smallest gear. Pull cable tight, and secure. If you have problems, take your bike to the nearest bike shop, they can help you
