Thanks for all who tried to help me, but still the problem unsolved. I tried many ways, buyt in vain. Thoughts that the heater resistance might have a problem, so took it off and tried it separately in a bucket of water, so it worked well as it should be. put it back in the machine, pushes the start button, it worked for a few minutes normally, then suddenly the circuit breaker shut off again. Tried this procedure many times, and still the same problemi. I am in doubt that the electronic program might be failing down causing this problem !! Can such thing happen ? I am in doubt also whether my circuit breaker might be functioning normally !? but there was no problem in it when i tried the heating resistance in water separately. The water came to a boiling stage without any shut down from the circuit breaker. Did any such problem happen with any of you, good helper ?Many thanks in advance for anyone who tries to help .!s

It may be the next stage after the water is hot and it turns off selecting the next operation

Posted on Apr 16, 2014

Testimonial: "Yes. That's what i meant by the program failure. After the water is hot and moving to the next stage, the circuit breaker shuts off. I guess i have to throw it in the garbage and buy another one. Such problems are helpless and may cost repairing more than a new machine. Thanks for all who posted seeking help."

Are you sure that this not is the cooldown phase of the mainwash? Most frontloaders have this feature.

SOURCE: Ultimate Care II - Rinse Cycle does not start

sounds like a lid switch problem. is there a clicking noise when you open and close the lid?
if not then the lid switch may need to be replaced; inexpensive.
this could also be caused by a bad timer.
also try a different speed for the rinse cycle, it may be a bad motor and it is not going into a certain speed. instead of gentle or slow speed try fast or normal, something like that.

Check the cold water hose. My brand new machine had this behavior until I discovered a kink in the cold water hose - works great now.

Washer will not start

OK I am not an expert but I have spent the last two weeks learning about and fixing my dishwasher! Hopefully I can save you a headache. Try the following:

* Flip the switch off and on in your breaker/circuit box. May reset your washer.
* If that doesn't work, try running diagnostic/reset cycles by pressing heated dry -normal- heated dry or heated dry-sanitize-heated dry in sequence. If the cycles run fine, you will rule out a power, latch, motor/drying issue. It also may (hopefully) reset your system.
* If normal function still does not resume, make sure your power (from the breaker box) is turned off and unscrew (with a star-shaped screwdriver bit - check your car emergency kit/toolbox, you may find you have it) and open the front button control panel and check all connections. Try carefully unplugging and replugging wires and look for any corrosion/moisture on the circuit board.
* If that does not work, test the circuit board by unplugging the green ribbon cable from the control panel, reassembling with the ribbon cable unplugged, flipping your circuit back on and then closing the dishwasher door. If the drain motor runs, it will show you that there is still some function with the circuit board. Although it doesn't rule out the circuit board completely, it will point to a most likely control (button) panel issue and try replacing that. If the drain test does NOT run, it may be the circuit board that needs to be replaced.

There may be some additional instructions specific to your model hidden in an envelope behind the kickplate of your washer.

Hopefully some of that helps!

I need to prime the water circuit. How do I do this?

Hi. Turn your machine on and open the steam/hot water function as the machine starts to heat. This will allow the air to be released from the water circuit, and water to fill the circuit. You may have to wait for the machine to heat before it will allow you to operate the steam/hot water function, but this is how you do it. Just keep doing this proceedure until water starts to come out of the outlet. The pump will sound noisey at the start, but will quiten down once the water has filled it. Hope thishas helped. My Kenmore Elite Oasis He washer has a problem with getting stuck when it's in Normal wash at the 17th minute in Rinse where the cold water will not dispense. It goes around slowly for a long time until...

LF Error code: LF stands for long fill and occurs when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on.

All washers are designed to operate with a water supply pressure of 20-100 PSI. When the pressure drops below 20 PSI the washer can have the following problems:

* Slow Fill- low water pressure reduces the speed at which water flows into the machine.
o Verify the pressure at all other water sources in the house (i.e. sinks, showers, etc..). If you find other places where the pressure is low, the problem is not with the machine but with the water supply.
* Continuous Fill- The valve may not fully seat under 20 PSI which would allow for a constant flow even when the machine is not supposed to be filling.
o Contact the water company to verify the pressure being supplied to the house.
* dispenser- Needs a minimum amount of pressure to function. May dispense constantly, at the wrong time, or not at all.
o A plumber may need to be consulted if the pressure is found to be too low.

Things you can check :

* Are the Hot and Cold water faucets turned on
* Are the water hoses kinked
o Make sure all the hose are straight and able to flow water
* Are the screen inside the water valve plugged
o Inlet valve should be free of debris and rust.
o Turn off water and remove the inlet hoses from washer.
o Remove any accumulated film or particles.
o Assure rubber washers are in the end of each inlet hose.
o Reinstall hoses, turn on water and check for leaks.

Error codes can be caused by a Power Surge or other electrical anomaly, attempt to return the washer to operation by following the Hard Reset procedure below.

1. Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
2. Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.
3. Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the display.
4. Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts

Whirlpool GU1500 dishwasher - no wash cycle buttons would turn on (no indicator light/no operation), but the Cancel button/2 minute drain function works. Any suggestions?

I had the same issue. If you have a 1100,1200,1500 etc you have the first series of the dishwasher and there is a heat sensor issue. The dishwasher runs and checks if the water heats up by 8 degrees. If the water doesn't heat enough then the washer will trigger shut down (assuming that there is an issue somewhere in the water heating process could be a variety of things) Alas, it may only be a one time issue and yet the programming in the dishwasher defaults to a shut down where the normal consumer can't get the machine to run. DO THIS: remove the kick panel on the front of the washer. Behind that is a document with a series of buttons that you push to reset the machine's computer e.g. you might have to press 'saniwash' then airdry then Saniwash then airdry. The machine will start the reset process and may also go through a 'cancel' function. After that you should be back in business. They have fixed this issue on the new machines so that the 8 temp trigger has to fail three wash cycles in a row before the consumer lock out is activated. As for those who own the first series....we do lots of resets. P.S. I learned this AFTER I bought two new panels for my GU1500.
Good Luck

La9500xtw1 washer won't run. set dial, pulled out, and nothing happens. checked circuit breaker, and there is power in the outlet. where do we start with troubleshooting?

It doesn't work at all If your washer doesn't seem to work at all, check these: No power Lid switch No power Check to see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it plugged in? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped? Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.

Hi

The issue is with the heating element of your dishwasher, it is withdrawing very large amount of power and thus, the circuit gets overloaded and circuit breaker trips. You'll need to check for any short circuits around the heater element. And, also the resistance of the heater element, it should be around 1.4K ohms to 1.8K ohms.
