Question about Mag Innovision Computers & Internet
Troubleshooting says no speakers attached. Worked fine before I moved, upgraded to Windows 7. Video works fine.
Solution 1 It might have defaulted your sound button to mute Got to control panel Sound and see if sound has been muted
Solution 2 unplug jack out of plug at rear of computer test it in other jack holes what might have happened is that the default setting for speaker and mic might have swapped round best way is play some music and move jack plug around see if you get any sound
Solution 3 Sometimes the sound software needs re setting bring it up and re sett speekers and mike setting by the colours you have you jack in remember front and rear you will be mainly dealing with rear jack interface green pink blue white etc
hope this helps

SOURCE: MY MONITOR SPEAKERS
as you say that old speaker is working from the same tower means your computer is ok. the problem is in speaker only. plz chk that while shifting some wire must have broken or loose or speaker not connected properly. ultimately chk connection.

When a monitor works for a few seconds or more and goes black it is a problem with the power inverter board over heating because of a bad capacitor or capacitors that are not the right size. There is no problem with the VGA controller since it shows video for a few seconds. I have fixed a lot of Mag LCD monitors with changing just two small capacitors for $0.50 a piece and some of my time to solder them in. Less time as i have gotten better. You can buy the capacitors on Mouser Electronics Online. Just make sure they are the right size and dimensions. I have one of these monitors on my table now and have not determined the exact capacitor that is the issue. I have change five out and it is still doing the same. Four more to go. None of the capacitors looked bad, thus the prcess takes longer. Good Luck

you shouldnt have to break the clips. my boyfriend got to that point and found that he could slide the plastic off without breaking them
