Question about Frigidaire Dishwashers
I have a model 1250rec1 the last time it was ran it did everything ok until the end of the cycle. Now I hear a ticking sound from the door, I tried to run another cycle but the front panel seems to be dead but the ticking continues.
I traced it down to the timer switch or function selector being faulty. Are these other posters really that dumb or are they trying to mislead someone for their amusement ?

The latch needs to be replaced. Kitchen Aid has made two updates to this latch. I.E. 2-revised latches. I just replacd the latch assembly and the dishwasher works fine now. Do a search for kitchen aid repair parts online and hav them shipped to your home. The repair takes five minutes. Un-screw all torx bit screws on door and the latch is under neath. One electrical dip switch held on by another screw and a two prong tab to undo the old latch. This seriously took me five minutes to repair and the parts were $40.00 online shipped.
Hope his helps.

SOURCE: Problems Keeping the cycle going
On the back of the selector switch there is a timer motor or clock motor assembly. The gears wear out or the motor has lost its ability to go through the cycles. Replace it and you should be fine.
