Hi Debra,

That sounds like barrings, so you will need to have a tech out to repair or you can remove the pump and take it to a local small motor repair shop which is sometimes less expensive.

Loud ticking noise coming from motor

This is probably tappet noise from the top end of the engine. However you should have it looked at quickly as these engines had a severe problem with oil sludging, even when recommended services were done.
This caused all sorts of problems, so see if you can get it fixed before the engine develops something terminal.

NEW AC COMPRESSOR MAKING NOISE

Did you add the correct amount of oil to the compressor? Is it overcharged? Did you evacuate all the air with a vacuum pump before charging? Was the fixed orifice replaced? If you are sure you did the install right and the oil and charge are correct you have another defective compressor

Why is my central vac. making such a loud noise. It sounds like jet getting ready for take off. It seems to be getting louder. I'm not using it because i'm afraid it's going to explode or...

The bearing or the motor is warn out they last 15 years in the case. In some rare case the brush ware out or the rely can catch fire, most central vacuum are not made to be oiled! Hot oil will catch on fire. Best to unplug the vacuum unit call a few shops and ask replacement motor cost, if you remove the Vac and take to them it will cost less.

i quick fix would be to take a quart of oil and remove the fan motor and soak it in the oil. This wont hurt it anter a couple of min in the oil, hang up so that all the oil can drain off it, then wipe it down. install motor and try again, let me know.

My cadillac catera is making a loud clicking noise in the motor and the fuel caplight turns on please help me

First, make sure the cap is on tight at the fuel tank.

Then, investigate the loud clicking noise in the engine.
Check engine oil level and add as necessary.

If this doesn't solve the problem repost your problem.

My sharp comfort touch air conditioner make loud noise from fan. It is very loud. I have 2 and both are very loud. I took the unit out of the wall to inspect, and could find nothing obstructing the fan.

Hi, you may want to check the bearings on the fan motor it self. They will wear or get dry and make very loud noises. Check the motor body at each end to see if this motor has oil caps at each end to add a few drops of oil. Some motors do and other motors have sealed bearings and when they go, there is not much you can do when they fail. If it does have a place to oil them, get the oiler at a hardware store. They come in a small plastic bottles that telescope to reach the bearings. This may take the noise away if the bearings are not already gone. Let me no what you find and we can go from there. I wish you the best,

Van wont start, loud, has a burning smell and the oil light is on

I'd feel best if you can find a reputable mec and have it looked at. There are a mess of things that can make loud noise. You could have anything from a bad berring to a blown engine. When your'e on the road remember go to someone who is reccomended or a national chain or dealer..

Loud rumbling noise with slight vibration

Normally the noise you hear is caused by the drum rollers having flat spots on them or needing lubricant.
If this is what is wrong It will make a kind of thumping noise.
When they need lubricant they will normally make a squealing noise also. You would lube the shaft and bearing area of the roller, using a good machine oil...something like "3 in One" oil.

My whirlpool dryer ran fine and i turned it on yesterday and it ran very loud. I changed belt and front and rear gaskets and still runs loud any suggestions?

New Motor maybe? But their is something you can do to try and make the motor last a while longer, their isn't any holes to oil the dryer motor so you must make some, using a 1/8th inch drill bit make a hole in either end of the motor where the bearings are (taking care not to hit the shaft), then add some hi temp oil such as zoom-oil, (dont use WD-40) and work the motor free as you can by hand. If this frees up the motor it may go a while longer. Also oil the rollers and check the slides to make sure they are not pinching and stalling the motor. If the motor can't reach top speed it will get hot, overload and stop.
