Reset your counter back to zero. But for some you must also check the waste bin status. Need disassembling this is to ensure ink will not overflow from your printer.
Reseting is only software base. Try this link
Post again if you cannot still got it.

Hi You can Try 2 things.
It could be a ERROR 5100 means that there is some foreign object blocking your cartridges carriage that disables it from moving. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there
It may be a piece of paper or a scotch tape or a staple wire.
Clean the timing strip.
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .
Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

SOURCE: THE PRINTER DOES NOT PRINT.
If you can't move the carriage to the center manually, I would suggest you to dismantle the machine and check for broken or obstruction. But first of all, try moving it manually, pull it while you shake it gently. If it could be moved to the center somehow, then Turn back on the machine and check again. Try changing the cartridges or clean the contacts. If the problem persists, I will also recommend you to go for a new machine (if you wish to do) and the model you've mentioned "Epson Stylus NX305 All-in-One Printer" is 100% compatible with your Mac (It supports PowerPc OSx 10.3.9 to 105.x) [Click here for more info].
*Sometimes repairing the machine or replacing cartridges would cost more than the Printer's price which isn't recommended.
If you need further help, let me know.
Thanks for using FixYa.
