time and date should automaticaly reset but if it doesnt try this. With the phone turned on remove the battery for about 30 to 60 sec. then put battery back in and turn phone on it should have reset the time and date. Doing this worked on my wifes phone hopefully it will work 4 yours.
That is the default date put in there by the japs, sometimes a sick joke they use to put dec 7 in there on the old vcrs. Anyway the battery isnt holding the memory without prper voltage you wont have memory
You can do a hard reset, that is what I did. You need to save everything to your card first. Then turn the phone off, take out the battery, put it back in, on the querty key pad hold the S and L keys down and turn on the phone, keep holding them down until you get the setup screen to set the date and time then you can set the date and time and you have reset the phone to factory state.
The display on the phone ... to change back and forth between the date and time,
and the extension information, press the "star" (or asterisk) key while
the phone is on-hook, this will toggle the display back and forth.
