Question about Baumatic BWE40 Wine Cooler

Open Question

The Baumatic BWE40 cooler makes a constant humming noise. It just starys at 18 degrees. It is off at present. Thank you.

I have just given my explanation but not the BWE40 number. The machine was unplugged from the extension reel and now connected to the mains. The humming noise is constant and the BWE40 stays at 18 degrees. Thank you. fawzia.mallal@gmail.com

the soft humming your hearing could possibly be the compressor stalling.. this can come from a lack or freon. Now this is the first thing you should check as its one of the most common issues in all refrigerant systems.. to do this there is a check port that you connect a guage too and it will give the freon pressure. More than likely you will find it very low and needs re gassing.. before having it regassed I'd suggest that you have it checked for leaks as well ,, (it ran out of freon rather quickly no ??) have a technician come in and check these as he will have all the right tools and stuff needed for for the checking of gas pressure, the dye to check for leaks as well as the freon to regas it.. and if needed the solder to fix any leaks..

BWE40 wine cooler. Is it safe to leave it switched on when code e2 is showing? Does code e2 distinguish which of the two sensors need replacing? Thanks.

Hi All,
I had this error on my wine cooler. I checked the sensors and got a reading Kohm from both, however i still decided to replace the rear sensor - buried in the foam. It is located in the foam about 20cm from the LHS and 20cm from the bottom of the foam.

I got the sensors from here https://www.inter-spares.co.uk/?subcats=Y&status=A&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&search_performed=Y&q=49032008&dispatch=products.search
I left the front (internal sensor) and just swapped the two terminals in the 4 way plug. I used normal expanding foam to fill the areas where i had removed the foam looking for the sensor. All up and running now.

Hello, I have BW40 wine cooler. On the display is blinking error message "E2". I have tried to switch off and switch on, but it doesn't helped. Thanks for you support in advance. br, Zoltan

There are 2 sensors in this wine cooler. Malfunction of each leads to E1 or E2 fault codes. One is easily accessible inside the fridge (small white torpedo sensor with pair of wires attached). The second but identical sensor is buried within the foam on the rear of the cooler. Unplug from mains, take of the electrics from back of cooler, take off sheet metal back and the sensor will be deep in the foam and can be replaced easily after digging out some foam. When replaced make sure the sensor is in the same place it stops the cooler icing up. Use gap-fill foam to keep insulation good. Dr_Nicholas

Compac Presario F700 makes constant humming noise

Sounds like its the fan . The more demand you place on the system makes it run hotter so the fan speed automatically increases to compensate

Foxconn CPU fan making noise

It sounds like the fan bearing is shot, I'd recomend not using the computer until fan is replaced.
yes it is possible to replace the fan, i would recomend that you replace it with an aftermarket cooler. all you need is what kind of CPU you have, then find out what kind of socket it is, from there you can find the cooler you would like.

Baumatic bfd47ss error4

I read you have to remove cover and dry out "sump", I simply followed other advice of tipping it at 45degrees (get that mop ready) and hey presto. There may be a problem with a leaky component but so far so good.

Cycle will not start

sounds like your machine is not taking in any water at all, which is the first thing the dishwasher wants to do on all programme settings. The constant whirring noise you refer to will be the water valve trying to take water into your machine. As yours isn't filling in the first place the programme cannot progress without water and it will just sit there whirring.Anyway, to resolve this matter I would check the fill hose which goes from the back of machine to your cold water pipe in your kitchen/utility, in case somebody has turned off supply.where the flexi hose meets the copper supply pipe there should be a thumbturn shut/open valve, turn this 90 degrees or a quarter turn and if you here a rush of water for a split second then you have fixed it.At this point try setting away a programme to see if water is going into dishwasher. If not have a bucket ready and unscrew the flexi hose altogether to make sure water is travelling past shut/open valve. If not you need a new shut/open valve. If water is able to pass this valve reconnect to dishwasher turn shut/open valve a quarter turn to open flow of water again, test machine on any programme again ,if it fills then your sorted, if not it must be your dishwashers internal water valve that will need replacing. Not a major job (located behind fill hose) but make sure electric and water supplies are off first before dabbling and write down your machines make and model number before shopping for part. GOOD LUCK.

High pitched whining noise from bottom of dishwasher

the arms are only turned by water coming out of them thro angled jets, they are not electrically driven. the noise will be coming from the circulating pump, probably one of the bearings. no cure except to replace
