Samtron 56v monitor

We live in Indore, MP. I bought this monitor around 10 years ago, but recently two easily correctable issues arrived, 1. Colors are not balanced. Sometime Red, whereas sometime blue color takeovers the screen. I think its a general issue of CRT. 2. Switch-On button of this monitor has become kinda loose. We have to push it many times to switch on/off the monitor. I am in dire need to quick and proper help. Hoping for quick and positive response. Thanks, Vineet Agrawal +91-7709083330 [email protected]

SOURCE: samsung samtron 55v display problem

assuming that u r a professional..
i guess there is no problem with ur monitor, it sounds like itz due to graphic adapter..either the adapter on ur system main/mother board/agp/pci/pcie is damaged or itz simply 'driver corruption'..
don't panic..check for driver update/download n reinstall graphic/display driver..
however, 1st make sure that the Screen Resolution (1024x768 or as applicable) and Color Quality (32 bit or as applicable) is correct..from Display Settings->Settings tab..
always better to contact system admin/vendor....

How to Tell If A Computer Monitor Is Going Bad
Computer monitors are designed to work properly for years.
Whether it's from a defective part or power surge, they go bad eventually, and you'll probably know it when it happens.
Look for vertical or horizontal lines across your monitor screen that shouldn't be there.
Time how long it takes for your computer monitor to come out of sleep mode. It shouldn't take more than 5 or 10 seconds for the screen to be fully operational when taken out of sleep mode or turned on after being turned off. If the screen is not operating as quickly as it should, it could be a sign it's getting old.

Monitor color has been changed to yellowish.

There are three Cathod Ray guns responsible for the millions of
colors. All colors are produced by mixing the three basic colors namely
Red Green and Blue (RGB) at suitable proportion. If any one of the
three guns fail firing then we get improper colors.
Try
(1) Simply tap on the monitor and see the result.(Keep the monitor on during this trial.)
(2) Disconnect the Monitor.and Slap it at the back by keeping it on a pillow with the screen facing down - it will resolve the problem if the failure is due to the loosening of the Head due to repeated thermal expansion and contraction.
(3) check the signal cable for loose connection, twisting etc on both ends - at the back of the CPU and Monitor (it is fixed) -
(4)tighten the screws at the backside of the CPU

Best of luck
