SOURCE: I have a 42 inch Hitachi plasma tv that is making a very loud static noice coming from the internal speakers. It stays at a contstant very loud volume unless I completly mute the tv or turn the volum

Based on what you have tried if a buzz or loud static via the speakers you have something wrong in the audio output circuit of the set--problem here is that circuit may be part of the Main board that processes all signal---a look inside---following the speaker leads back would lead you to that board.

A simple thing to do to narrow it a little (you may have done this) is with sound all the way off put your ear to the internal speaker--hear anything at all like a deep hum?

Depending on age of set and cost of the board likely bad it may or may not be a do it yourself repair.

Hitachi 42 inch plasma tv shuts off by it self

This is not really a solution, but read on... I had these symptoms in my 42 inch Hitachi plasma also. When I took it in to get it looked at , I was told that dust was accumulating on and around the cooling fans.He gave it a quick cleaning ( vacuuming I assume) and it worked for a while then started malfunctioning again. Now I'm trying to decide whether to just pitch it or keep cleaning it myself.Hope this helps.

What wall bracket do i need for my wharfdale 42'' plasma tv, model number w42s40pe

Check for 3 things, 1 location on wall ( you need to attach it on a wooden stud in the wall, 2 weight and size ( you want a mount that usually sized for 40" to 48" or 50" inches which will accomodate for the weight, 3 One that Tilts ( get one that will at least tilt up and down, due to the reflection of any lights or sunlight. also because you may need to adjust it so that you can see it from a seated position.. other than that any brand will do, more you pay the better (and easier) they are to put up... Good luck
