No Brand or model? Sounds like a defective R/P switch or circuit that is unstable.

Marshall MG2FX plays well with only batteries but hisses loudly with ac adaptor (replaced adaptor but no change). Hissing occurs without any cables or instruments connected...

When It is well charged while plugged in,you are slightly overloading the signal amp component. This is not necessarily bad however.Let it run low then play something(optional It may or may not hiss without audio input) If it continues to hiss go get it check by a professional or just don't play it while it is charging because over time that will damage it.

How can I solve a problem on my pc wiith regards to it's hissing sound

In most cases it sounds like the fan is having trouble. Get a can of compressed air and clear out the air vents on the sides and back. It may spit out a ton of dust, and it should help improve the hissing sound. If it needs a better cleaning, you may need to remove the lower part of the casing.

I have a C2006 Type 4 Porter Cable pancake compressor which will build pressure all the way up to 150psi then cut off as it should but there will be a loud hissing and pressure drop until the cut on...

first you have a reciprocating pump and the hissing you ear probably comes from the unloading valve on the pressure switch(it will look like a bike tire valve)if there is air coming out the valve when the compressor is off it probably means you have a bad check valve. This valve is use to unload the pressure inside the pump for an easy start .a motor always drive more amps on start up if you cant unload this pressure you will trip the overload(you probably have a reset button on your motor)check the specs on your pressure relief valve ,its a small pump maybe its just adjusted to high.in this case your pressure relief valve will open .If the pressure is fine and there is air coming out the relief valve then you have to replace it!to adjust your pressure turn the screw on your pressure switch clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease .usually you have a 30 psi between cut-in and cut-off called the pressure differential. It can be adjusted on some pressure switch.be sure you put some teflon tape on the treads if you replace something to avoid air leaks.hopes this help!

Hissing sound from a Panasonic old TV...Sound and picture are OK. The hissing sound even continues when the MUTE on the Box is ON. The hissing only stops when the MUTE on the TV is ON. I am using the...

If you disconnect or power off the converter box does the hiss go away?
If you connect a VCR or DVD player does it still have the hiss? We
need to isolate what source is causing the hiss if it is from the set or
if it is from the converter box.
When you turn the volume control down on the set, does the hiss
reduce in level? If mute stops it, it should reduce in level as you
turn the volume down. Then turn up the sound level control on
the converter box whether its a manual control or by remote. If you
can get a combination that minimizes the hiss and gets higher sound
level from the programming that may cure it.
I am not familiar with the converter box you are using. Are you using
Audio/Video cables from it to the set or is it coming out with coaxial cable
and used on a channel? If you are using a very old set with a tuner input
perhaps the fine tuning is out of adjustment.
