Question about Bosch Classixx KGV28323 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
I have had to withdraw 4 of the 6 Bosch fridge / freezers from our sudent accomodation blocks. All with the same problem, the freezers are fine but occasionally the fridge becomes warm. When I reset using the on/off button I can hear the recirculation fan but when I inspect a faulty one it's never running. All f/freezers were supplied about 18 months ago in one batch.
Hi - experienced this myself and spent ages trying to get to the bottom of it - only found one post but it worked and was absolutely clear on the cause nb: i'm not an "expert" !
My understanding of how the Bosch f/f works is that the freezer compartment generates the cold air for the fridge which is regulared at the fridge end . At the back of my fridge there are two "vents" which feed up this cold air up from the freezer into the fridge.
Problem happened to me because I left the freezer door slightly ajar which generated a massive amount of frost (sucking in the moist air from the house I guess then freezing it) and subsequent ice froze up the cooling ducts between the freezer and the fridge. Therefore, no matter how much I turned up the fridge thermo it never got cool. Only solution was to dump my frozen at a mates house and defrost the the FREEZER for a good 24 hrs +.
Worked tho' - fridge was completely back to normal.
PS: I understand this issue may also happen if you put too much unfrozen food into the freezer at one go and in working overtime to get it frozen causing a massive frost up again.

I know there was a faulty batch of these some time ago... freezer ok but fridge staying warm. The outcome was that the defrost pipe at the back was blocked (manufacturing issue where it was squashed or something along those lines stopping the water from escaping on defrosting) The ice wouldn't defrost stopping the fan from spinning around for the fridge to get cool. Easy check is inside the freezer section you can see the metal elements at the top through the plastic cover.... These should never be frozen over to any degree as they defrost and freeze constantly. Frankly my experience of fridge freezers is totally appalling as none of the common major manufacturers can actually build one of these things to any standard. I'm on my fourth frost free fridge freezer... first 3 were replaced within 7 months of ownership due to manufacturing failure ! 2 x Hotpoints and 2 x Bosch Classixx. Frankly they all appear to be a pile of rubbish !!!! latest Bosch is now on the fritz after 2 years.... which isn't very long really is it ! Again i think its this blocked pipe issue which i believe to be at fault.

Not a solution but mine has a weird noise. when the door is shut the fan engages yeah? well its sounds to me that when the fan starts spinning it seems to be hitting something amd making a wacking noise as it spins iv tryed removing the air flow ducts inside the fridge but can seem to get to where the fan is located has anyone taken one of these apart before? help would be great as its out of warrenty and im a bit skint for a new one and its driving me mental at night lol

I tried switching ot off for 2 hours last night, but didn't defrost the freezer section at the same time.
Result is hat today the fridge is now warmer then yesterday, and no water cam out of the back during the process
Do I need to also defrost the freezer section at the same time ?
I took off the inner panels that are the 'multiflow' for the cold air, and no ice behind them
Would love to know if there is another potential cause

Ours has been the same - seems that although it is 'frost free' the fridge section can block with ice, inside the panels (so you cannot see any problem).
We have found that switching the unit off and letting it thaw out (catching water at the bottom rear) works but the problem always returns in time.
Takes several hours to thaw.
