SOURCE: hi i have a craftman bench 10 inch bandsaw that has blade drif

The problem could be one of two things. The tires could be worn or glazed with rosin. Try cleaning the tires with mineral spirits to remove the build-up. The other possibility is that the pulleys are out of alignment. To check this, put a straight edge across the face of the lower pulley and see if squares with the upper pulley, if it doesn't, loosen the set screw on the upper pulley and adjust accordingly

Will a 59 1/2 inch length blade work on a 59 1/4 inch length bandsaw

Although you could probably take up the extra 1/4 inch, I would not use anything that is not recommended by the maker. They are too dangerous to muck around with. Just think if the band broke or came off its rollers, what it could do to you.

How can I cut wood 3.5 inches thick with Dewalt Scroll saw?

nope... throat on scroll saw is of fixed height... beside, all scrollsaw blades are of fixed length, i would suggest use of bandsaw with very narrow blade with minimal kerf. do not use pressure on the blade! you will then have same cut through the thickness of the wood! setup bandsaw correctly, do not overtension it - see my other instructables pertaining to the bandsaw and regulation/setup of it

if you find my solution helpful - do not me shy... give some points... :-)

Do you have the manual? It might be there but I think the blade length is about 65 inches. If you're looking for new band saw blades, you may try checking www.sawblade.com . I purchased mine with them . They have pretty good blades.

Where can I get a Craftsmen 9-2664 bandsaw blade?

Quote efs_perpends
You'll need to find out the length of the blade in inches. If you have an old broken one, you can simply measure it. Then if you search online, you'll find a variety of sources that will weld/braze a custom length blade for you. (link here)
Otherwise, you might find a manual here. that gives the standard length for that machine.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

I have been given an older bench top bandsaw make is Brico model BS 360 wouls like to know where I can get a copy of the manual for this and the blade length it requires. Thanks for the help

It takes a 70 inch blade. Don't go any wider than 3/8 inch, a 1/4 in blade works well. Get as thin a blade as possible. The 6" wheels can be ******* blades. I had new tires made for mine but have lost the name and address of the source so now I am on a search for those!

You will probably have to get the blades custom made. I get mine made at Island Saw in Victoria BC Canada. Not too expensive.
