SOURCE: hi, i have a problem

Combustion pressure fault, usually meansthe fan is not working, sometimes they just need a clean because they getrather heavy when covered in dust and wont spin. Could also be a blockage ofdust from fan to heater, try a vacuum in there.

Ignition failures are usually one of three things

  1. The hot surface igniter has burnt out
  2. the flame failure safety mechanism has burnt out
  3. the unit has overheated and blown a single use over temperature cutout switch ( much like a fuse)
These things should only be servicedby a good service agent, if they malfunction and don't work correctly theconsequences can be deadly, including filling your house up with carbonmonoxide as you sleep, or starting a fire within your wall cavity.

Usually these numbers on most other untits are stamped on a metal plate which is located
or attached to the gas valve, which would also give the BTU Input/Output. Probably the
Model Number as well

THE Indoor tankless heater will turn on(with hot water on), light the priority light for 5 seconds, then the light will go off and the control reads a C2 11 error code. can you email me the 11 page...

Before calling service technician, best way to approach this problem is to contact Rheem with your specific model and serial number.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-Rheem-Tankless-water-heater.html

Error codes are starting place for troubleshooting.
C2 11 is gas and ignition related.
The same symptoms on your tankless unit can have different cause and solution than another tankless unit.

The burner might need to be cleaned.
Undersized gas meter, or low gas pressure should be checked.
Air in gas line.
Short circuit in gas solenoid.
Bad igniter.
Igniter wiring harness.
Tankless is not grounded.
Vent exceeds allowable height or length limit

All gas water heaters require periodic maintenance.
The manual is a good place to start for advisories and troubleshooting and required maintenance.
Tankless water filter should be cleaned monthly, and heat exchanger de-limed yearly.

Upvote the help.
And take advantage of fixya expert assistance live.
For a price, expert works with you while you work on water heater or any do-it-yourself project.
Fixya is always less expensive than a service call.

I had a vulcan central heating unit that was made in 1990. Could you please tell me what the model number is on a 1990 vulcan central heating unit. Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob, The number you have listed AUW230A may be the model number. You say its a central heat so, If it is a package unit, the model, serial, and all of the ratings would be on the unit near the elect box on a package unit.I do know by the # you gave me it is a Vulcan 3000 watt thermostatically controlled Immersion heater. Here is a link I can give you, they deal with this heater for parts Ect. that maybe of help to you, it is www.grainger.com. There are many model # and I believe this is it, AUW230A. I hope this helps Rob, Sincerely,
Shastalaker7
